Yea long outages suck. We lost power for 2 weeks after Gloria and it was hot and humid afterword for several days. My son was about 2 months old and I remember it being freaking hot. No fan, no ac and no water. We had to drive to in-laws 10 miles away to get tubs of water just for flushing the toilet. I bought a generator shortly after and would never be without one.
I bought one after the halloween snow storm, went without power for 6 days and it was down in the 20;s every night. Melted snow near my woodstove to flush the toilet. I m prepared if we ever lose it again.

If that's the case I could be at 33" and you're 35". Those are numbers I'm used to chucking around in the winter snowfall total thread , but liquid in the summer. Just unreal.
The way things have been going the last few winters I'd take that for 14 weeks this winter.

This is my favorite type of tip: the easy fix.
Every swing is different, and trying to get someone to get more upright or come from the inside just may not always work. But stance, grip, ball position - those are easy to change and pretty much universally beneficial.
My biggest light bulb moment was to come up with a routine on the greens. I copied Tiger (because why not?). He had a pretty simple like 15 second routine once he read the putt. Stand next to the ball and take two practice strokes while looking at the hole, address the ball, one more look at the hole, then go. After I started doing that my putting got much better.
When I took a lesson the instructor told me pretty much the same thing, have a routine with every shot, I only ever took one lesson but went from having trouble breaking 50 on nine to sometimes breaking 40.

Given ski area prices (and those of many other sports/games) I can see why. But spending $3 for coffee and a donut at Sandy River Farm Supply down the road makes cash the simple answer.
I see people paying for small items with their cards, even a cup of coffee. Last year when we went on our fishing trip one of the guys didn't have a nickel on him and we needed cash to tip the mate and the guy that filleted our fish. He ended up going to an ATM. they're pretty much everywhere these days.

I generally roll with $100-200 cash in pocket.
Me too and use cash for small purchases. I take more when I go on vacation just in case.

When I was 12 we lived in a house in Westchester County NY that had a bomb shelter under the garage. It had some sort of air filter with a big crank that you'd use in a prolonged power outage. My parents didn't want us to tell our friends but I think we had every kid in the neighborhood down there at some point.

Don't think chickweed, I have some too and it really takes over, I have no idea what it is either.

Yeah they just got done with the gauntlet of good teams… time to make hay. Need to go like 12-3 in the next 15. Yankees are only team over .500 in that stretch.
Schwarber walked twice in first two at-bats so far and scored both times. That’s more than Marwin did offensively so far this month lol.
If Pivetta's has his curveball they usually win, it's on tonight.

Looks like Sox have Schwarber batting 6th tonight, Chris Sale starts tomorrow. Season starts now lol.
Easy part of the schedule, they have to take advantage and hope Sale and Schwarber help out.

Their baked goods are certainly better. We went to a diner in Orange for breakfast today. It was ok but I was missing some Icelandic croissants. Our coffee is better.
What were the temps in Iceland Dave?

If you ever want to head out on one of the lakes in Brim/Brookfield just let me know!
sure will, you fishing shore or boat? I used to have a nice 15 foot bass boat but built a house so I sold it, looking to pick up another one, probably look for a 20HP so I have the option to take it to Quabbin.

We could set a record high low tonight, two more swamp azz days.

Been having too much fun fishing other ponds lately to head back to the Quabbin (never thought I'd say that). Hit Quaboag again the other day and had about a half dozen largies in the 4 lbs range along with about a dozen others. Forgot how much I missed throwing jigs in heavy grass and winching them out.
That's a nice fish.

My bro and I pulled in quite a few dogfish surf-casting after sunset last night. No stripers biting though.
You throw them back? On the party boats they used to break their necks and thrown them back for fish food. I heard they use them for fish and chips in England.

I've purchased pesticides from DoMyOwn over the past 8 years or so - their prices are competitive. Something must have happened though - DMO no longer sells anything to Maine addresses. I emailed their customer service and they responded quickly that Maine addresses will soon be serviced again. I also called the Maine Bureau of Pesticide Control and they didn't know anything about DMO , so it probably was a paperwork issue. Hopefully DMO will take care of what needs to be done soon.
