They'll win the next two, no worries

Good fishing on Lake Ontario this morning, we caught 3 Steelheads between 10-14 lbs, going at it again tomorrow morning.

Pick a crypto meme to buy cheap. Throw a few million into it. Make a tweet about it. Watch it climb 1000%. Cash out.
Us plebs should just buy a basket of cheapie and pray.

Bears being spotted everywhere in my town. Facebook posts daily. Our daughter saw a big one yesterday near our house while she was riding the school bus home. I haven’t seen one in a few years though. But they are all around.
There is a mama bear (sow) with three cute cubs that goes through peoples yards every so often. She had been tagged and this is her second set of triplets according to wildlife folks
A friend of mine in Oakham has a mother and two cubs living on his land, sees them all the time.

I went to a redemption center/liquor store to return some bottles today. I was the only one without a mask. Felt strange.
Just ran some errands, couple stores, grocery and over half at least are still wearing.

Those striper pics remind me of a time several decades back when those big "cows" were right behind the surf chomping on fish stunned by the waves. F&S had an article "First Catch a Mackerel" describing how anglers would motor out a half mile, catch a bunch of tinkers then go back to a few yards outside the surf and heave the bait into the maelstrom, and would pull out 40-50 lb fish right and left.
I went on a small charter out of Maine a few years ago, there were 3 of us on the boat fishing and the captain did just that, we caught mackerel then caught some nice stripers, no 40-50 lbs but some nice one's nonetheless.

Theres quite a few good meals with those stripers, one of my favorite. Going to Lake Ontario for a 3 day weekend, I think we'll probably catch Lakers, plan on smoking a few lbs.

there are a couple houses around 2300’-2400’ in florida off tilda hill rd i believe
Looked it up, I think you are correct. I remember back in 1976 Florida MA had a few inches of snow in May, I remember seeing the pics in the local paper.

What's the mountain in Vermont that has residences right on the slopes? Those must be at a pretty high elevation. I stayed at Bolton one time and saw a small residential street of homes at about 2000'.

My brother in law went forward with his annual memorial day cookout, had a huge umbrella over the grill and we ate inside, couldn't even watch the sox, but not a bad day overall.

Our dog was complaining at the back door this morning, thought he just had to go out. As I'm half asleep and opening up the slider I noticed a large bobcat walking on the edge of the yard. Our dog is a 65 lbs. hound mix and that cat would have messed him up. I know they can range up to 40lbs but it looked to be larger than that. Surprised how low to ground but long it was are, very dark brown too. Looked nothing like pictures I have seen of them around here. Bummed my phone was in the other room and I couldn't get a picture of it.
I was in your area for an appt last winter 2020 and was driving the back roads, a bobcat crossed the road in front of me and stopped on the side, I got a good look at him and we stared at each other for about a minute, once I grabbed my camera it took off so never got a pic. I assume you have all kinds of wildlife in your area.

I also read somewhere that you can mix Dawn with water and spray to kill grubs, I never tried it so don't know how effective it is.

I never used grubex in the eight yrs we've lived here until this year. didn't know there is a difference between curative (contact) treatments vs preventative. I need curative at this point , but larvae will be soon transitioning to pupae than jap beetles which will lay eggs in late summer and start cycle over again.
.
You can try spot spraying Neem oil , the Demon I have works and there's another one I can't think of that we can buy without a license that's pretty good, if I remember it I'll post the name.

Major breakthrough in the neverending lawn saga....grubs. I've checked for these many times before but it was long after the damage was done and I saw none. I started raking a small section with my dethatcher and turned up a bunch of these fawkers. I had put down grubex about 6 wks ago too. Going to spread more tomorrow, but not sure why first treatment didn't work. Is it too late to try again?
I've got this huge sense of relief finally knowing what did all the damage over the years. I suspected grubs couple years ago but like I said, never saw them, so thought it might be chinch bugs. Please tell me it's not too late in season to whack them again.
.
Just curious, do you put Grub X every year? I was told to alternate between Grub X and Merit to avoid them becoming resistant to it. I think I'd try Merit at this point and see if that gets rid of them. There also some other pesticides on the market to use, I've used Demon WP and gets rid of anything that crawls, I've spot sprayed the Demon and had good results.

Anyone know where the highest residential house is in New England? I know no one lives on the top of these ski areas but just curious where the highest residence is.

My gut says it has literally nothing to do with fear at all. Maybe/definitely conditioning. But for the most part it's about "reading" the scene and fitting in with everyone else. If someone shows up and parks, sees no one has a mask on, they won't put it on. They roll up and see 80%+ with masks on, they throw it on too.
People don't like to stand out. I think it's solely based on what they see and they fit in.
That's what I noticed down here, some wear it some don't seems some are on the fence whether they should ditch or wait for other people to start first.

I almost lit the stove but got lazy, no wood in the house would have to go out to the wood pile and wheel some in.

Pouring at Fenway. This game isn't long for this world.
The fans just look absolutely soaked and cold all the sudden.

I'm the exact opposite. All I know with Moderna had severe side effects, Pfizer zero side effects. Sample size of around 20 people.
I know people that had side effects from both. I had Moderna and was semi useless for one day, mostly because I woke up every hour the night of the shot sweating with a headache.
