  1. I would highly recommend getting out at night for a bit with a head lamp during these cycles. It is a magical time with the diamond dust and flakes illuminated while moving in them.
  2. Doublehead is such a classic! J, living at the bottom of it, it is up to you to ski out that crust:)
  3. 12+ at 3K, windy, wild, and welcomed, skin track refills, and honking snow when we scooted out at 1 In typical fashion, 2” at the house, but it’s coming down steady now, bless the NW winds

  6. Heaviest dusting of the week! 1” overnight Cleaned 2” off the rink which is the weeks accumulation
  7. It had been remarkable what a dusting each day has made, the snow settled and we have had a full week of winter fun, the ice has been perfect, ski jouring has been faster each day, even the downhill turns last night were enjoyable. Certainly making the most of 6” of snow, ever

  10. It had been interesting to watch it just get hung up at the Eden/ Lowell line Feels like it is to shy to visit
  11. not a flake. but running in 14F v -6F was noticeably more enjoyable

  18. First time in 20 years I switched the tractor over to the snow thrower without my finger tips going numb
  19. 2.5” overnight up here, on top of the quick 1” yesterday First morning hearing the the town truck coming up the hill pushing snow
  20. Run through the white trail guards this morning on Jay. 3” on the top.
  21. Westmore report. Going, going, ....
  22. Spent the weekend walking the ridgeline in the distance. Northwoods Stewardship Center did a great job working the Kingdom Heritage trail through some deep woods. The Moose Rut is kicking in. Bumped this fella early on and spent Saturday night listening to cows calling for bulls. It is incredibly dry, only a couple spots with running water over our 20 mile walk
