  1. Meh Little Averill Pond, VT I think the best way to challenge the notions of a foliage let down is to get out there in the woods. What is dull from across the valley or from a road side view regains it’s magic in the sunlight, or even in a cloudy mist
  2. Still waiting for the garden to dry enough to till, but first two mowing sessions complete, clean up of more blow downs than ever in our back woods, and some good, albeit chilly pedaling. We got in one last ski Wed night, likely the last night to ski continuous from the lift. The fork is in. one goes out, another comes in...
  3. That is a good looking cat! I’ll take more like today. Always feels wrong walking outside with shorts on after the winter season
  4. Not sure what just witnessed. Maybe the first thunderstorm that was simultaneously a complete white out back to blue skies and Spring now
  5. Same temp as yesterday, different look to the yard though... IMG_2817 by Chad, on Flickr
  6. Foundation program for our local elementary schools. 7 full days at Jay scattered throughout the season. morning group lessons, afternoon fun ski. Our last is this Thursday..Caledonia county has the same at Burke. FWIW: I’m a Mainer hiding in VT:)
  7. Ahh Spring. Beautiful wind driven snow and 22F Probably not a bad idea considering our valley river was starting to flood, lots of standing water and more field ice than I have ever seen. We get a solo freeze today I may skate to the mountain tomorrow
