  1. So I'll just say our $10K lawn project last Fall looks terrible. Pic tells the tale.
  2. Maybe try more fiber Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  3. Swing and a miss on any rain Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  4. Does the lescos phase 2 have clover killer? Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  5. I told my wife to take a picture now cause it's the best the lawn will look all year. Only goes downhill from here.
  6. Anyone know what these lovely weeds are? Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  7. Hmm, Lesco guy told me to re-apply more of the dimension/pre-emergent stuff, presumably step 1 on memorial wknd. I basically put down the pre-emergent around 3.5 weeks ago. He said if I had any left to put it down this wknd. I do in fact have ~1/2 bag that I was going to spread out using a light setting. Should I skip this and go right to step 2? If so, has enough time elapsed (~3.5wks) between step 1 and 2 to put #2 down?
  8. lol, yes it's ridiculous the effort i put into the yard and it still looks like crap for the most part. my wife thinks i'm nuts for caring so much. A for effort though.
  9. I slit seeded some kbg last Fall and it only grew maybe 0.5" then stopped. Looking at it now it looks the same. I know kyb takes some time to grow but shouldn't it be growing now? Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  10. thanks. I've told the guy to hold off till sept. I will rotatill as well.
  11. I should probably wait till Fall at this point, but hoping to lay down fresh loam and hydroseed this backyard mess soon. I can't tolerate another summer of this disgusting mess
  12. carb probably has a plugged jet. Easy enough to check.
  13. Thanks. I have a Scott's basic spreader. #6 worked out pretty well Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  14. Don't worry, bought the lescos at John Deere. Got it done. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  15. Are all settings the same for Scott's spreaders? I'm not sure of my model. It holds about 25lbs Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  16. what's the best way to gauge fert application with a rotary spreader? I've used a small Scotts rotary for years, but I don't use Scotts fert, so the dial # is meaningless for other types of fert. I picked up some Lescos today and will spread tonight. One bag covers 11,000sqft. I know my yard's dimensions and can get a general sense of how far one bag will go, but have no idea on the rotary dial #. Halfway open, 1/4, 1/3???? In the past, I've just winged it and hoped I didn't run out or put too much down for the given area.
  17. hoping the "showers" up here will cut it.
  18. Of course, I wait till this weekend for putting down fert and no rain beyind today for a week. Sent from my Pixel 2 using Tapatalk
  19. just up the road from me. They'll get a nice fine for not having a permit.
