Local radio (Ray Richardson) has a weekly real estate guy on and he was talking about how to take advantage of the disaster that will unfold by buying up a bunch of wrecked houses for cheap when this is all said in down. Apparently he did it after Andrew. Seemed in poor taste to me.

we've got another ~4-6wks before any frost.

I seeded an area 2 wks ago and covered with peat moss, but peat is tricky cause it looks like it covers well initially then it gets either blown away or just doesn't last, exposing the seed. Areas where the peat stayed looks ok, but everywhere else, nothing. I need to put some more seed down.

we're just going to catch up with some old friends. Not much time to do any hiking or other outdoor stuff.

I had two inguinal hernias fixed. One in 2017, then the other side popped up on 2019. Got one fixed with lapro, then went "open" mesh for the other side. Recovery was a little longer for the latter.

Headed to Denver tomorrow. Looks like upper 80's, 90f for the wknd.
