Sitting at 32/18 here with that band approaching. Should see our first flakes of the season

First flakes here too, 15 days later than the average but not even close to the latest I've ever recorded the first snowflakes. 34/26 with light snow.

32F this morning. Nice cold November, too many people keep talking about hypothetical warmth.

stop making yourself miserable and enjoy whats around you outside! I can’t remember the last time I had so many nights below freezing in November

Good afternoon, Rob, hudson, gravity, Hitman. I’ve seen plenty of sh$&&@t since I take my daughters pups for a daily relief stroll. As for the frozen variety (when) …… well …… I leave the optimism to Anthony, the reality check to BW and Don, the bottom of the bell curve to S19 and of course, my memories. Stay well everyone, as always ….

Low of 27 in Cherry Hill this morning along with a thick frost.

Question...my wife's van in the driveway had frost covering the entire windshield, but my car, which is parked in the street had no frost at all!  The only difference is that my car on the street is parked underneath a large oak tree that still has most of its leaves on it.

This is now the third or forth time that this has occurred this fall.  Besides the tree, I'm not sure why there's been no frost on the car...not complaining though! I just don't know why lol.

The oak tree above the car is affecting the radiation from the car.  It's kind of a blanket if you will

We were supposed to stay a night at the end of our trip at the Northern Lights Inn, which is within a mile from Blue Lagoon! Crazy story, just been getting back and adjusted and I was going to post about the trip and this whole experience.

it’s a very serious situation, a sill formed in the area of Grindavik / Blue Lagoon in a system that hasn’t erupted in 800 years. It’s a much spicier system than the gentle, tourist friendly Fagradalsfjall. It could erupt very fast and very powerfully with high effusion rates, and both Blue Lagoon and Grindavik are very much in real danger.

Just read an article about it and was wondering if our resident expert was back and would post.

Presuming no predawn sprinkles for the thousands camped out at Staten Island tomorrow morning. Runners can handle it.

However, a few models are offering a smattering of measurable for ne PA extreme nw NJ into CT predawn Sunday.  Won't bother anyone, and the dry weekend NYC should prevail... but not looking quite so rain-free as it did days ago for the northern edge of the NYC subforum. We'll see how it plays out.

.01 here in the midnight hour. Good call.
