  1. Up to 72 with high clouds off to my west now, will see soon if that’s the high for the day.
  2. One of the worse sunburns I ever had was from skiing on St Paddy’s Day in 1994. Thankfully it was limited to my face, neck, and a small dome shape on the back of my bald head from the opening on my adjustable cap. Been carrying sunscreen in the car ever since, never leave home without it! But I’m home today anyway, enjoying what Mother Nature is throwing at me right now.
  3. 62, first outside shorts day of the year for me.
  4. And how do you feel now? The same? Temp climbing here, up to 58 now and the satellite looks clear to the west.
  5. Throw the Hudson Valley Weather Facebook in the mix too for this neck of the woods.
  6. Still snow in shady spots and north facing slopes but zero at the stake this morning.
  7. 5” at my main stake which is on the north side of the house, 2” at another stake near a shady spot on the south side, lots of open ground in between. It’s a tired worn out “snow cover” at this point but what’s left is glacial. Had some flurries this morning but nothing measurable.
  8. And I thought you didn’t keep records...
  9. Interesting. A small part of my work is involved in helping/supervising the programming of Federal Highway funds for bridges/roads eligible for Federal funding.
  10. 6.5” at the stake but about 1/3 of the yard is exposed now and much of the snow is now littered with pine twigs which will help the sun work on the pack.
  11. Once some ground is exposed it goes quick around that spot expanding exponentially
  12. Mine had switched too when I measured, may have lost a couple tenths, oh well. I saw in Walts post there was a 1.1” just to my NE.
  13. Still 8” at the stake but look how the bare spot under the trees grew since this morning
  14. 8” at the stake this morning, photo provided. The second photo has a 3-4’ snow pile in the foreground and yet some bare ground as this slope faces south.
  15. Low of 37 this morning, lost another inch off the pack just since I came home from work yesterday, down to 9”.
  16. Didn't get below freezing last night until 4:15am, then back above freezing by 8:15am...the pack is slowly going.
  17. LOL. I may or may not have posted under the influence on occasion here...but yesterday wasn't one of those times as measuring snow is serious bidness! That said, I probably do you have fooled as I'm dumber than I sound with my posts.
