  1. Been light snow the last few hours, still waiting for the good stuff to start.
  2. The official forecast is a lot more bullish for my back yard than any model I've seen. The advisory I'm under doesn't even match that map.
  3. Solar radiation data from my weather station. Pretty obvious where the eclipse is, with some clouds here and there messing with the pretty curve.
  4. Short term models have me getting at least some snow shower overnight. Hopefully there's evidence if it when I wake up
  5. Some of us outside the mountains may see our first snow of the year late week.
  6. That was a nice little storm. Even got a little hail. Now we can look ahead to first flurries of the year later this week.
  7. I ended up with 0.85". Just south got probably double that, most of it from one cell.
  8. I volunteered to chaperone my son's multi-day outdoor education program the beginning of next week. Rain and mud and 6th graders. Fun times!
  9. Probably more than you'd think. But airlines don't cancel flights in situations like this only for safety. It's also to prevent planes from getting stuck there and messing up the rest of their network.
  10. Airlines are going to be proactively cancelling flights anyway.
  11. This widespread heavy rain event predicted looks to be a gigantic bust.
  12. I can't imagine the quake has anything to do with the rain. It wasn't that much rain, and not that much rain had fallen when the quake happened.
  13. Hopefully the last surge of heat for the season. "Only" 90 in my back yard, thankfully.
  14. I flew in last night and we had to take quite a detour to get around those storms
  15. I've gotten an inch total with the last 3 days of storms.
  16. I was getting 1.5" per hour rates in the afternoon round of storms. Just a hair south was probably getting double that and a recently repaired stretch of road that got washed out in June got washed out again
  17. I flew in last night and spent about an hour in a hold pattern waiting for storms to clear to land. Then got soaked walking across the parking lot to our car.
  18. Just .25"/.5" hail here. Though enough to clog gutters and making my yard a river again. I was eyeing that cell though willing it die out, which it did.
  19. 1.5" overnight with some rates reaching near 1.5" per hour Avoided the hail though, thankfully, and avoided the training that other areas got
