Still sunny here. 78 already. TORCH! Drying out too which is nice...a week of no rain

I had a cape before this house-impossible to get cool air upstairs and the roofline was right there-no attic...terrible.

Obsolete-most of those are being torn down here and replaced with bigger homes

was probably an add on you could select when the house was being built....we are probably one of the few that still use it-but I don't like to turn on the AC unless it's needed-like the fresh air better but when it's HHH it goes on.

Exactly...my house was built in 1973 and originally had no AC. It's loud but you turn it on and open some windows and the cool air comes rushing in-leave it on for 30 minutes after the sun goes down.

on a couple of borderline nights we turned on the whole house fan-sucks the heat right out assuming the outdoors is not humid.

and the "Storm will make it's own cold air" actually worked out too. It was in the low 50's here that morning with heavy rain-by midafternoon it was 30 with heavy snow

For sure but the writing was on the wall 36 hrs ago that this was an inland event...it's the ones that bust in the last 12 hrs which are the worst

yep my electric bill for May was very low.

Guess it's like going into a retail store-the summer stuff is out in March, gone by July, Xmas starts around Labor Day, etc etc
