Thoughts on if this makes it to the island? Just heard thunder at Jones beach
western LI looks to get into it. Most of it is going NNE so will miss alot of LI and CT unless it expands east

I'd be over the top thrilled with a dry 3 weeks again. It's just so soggy out there now I can't even go out in my backyard without sinking in to the top of my shoes.
We've caught up here. Lush vegetation and weeds everywhere. 3 inches of rain in the last 2 days alone...

Another disgusting day. Who enjoys this stuff?
I do, from inside. LOL. It does give fuel for some good T-storms every day so there's that. The 1st 3 weeks of July were beyond boring with no storms.

shower just moved through here...tropical like pattern with rain potential at any time...
-
southerly winds keeping the convection into interior SW CT...warm/humid here with partly sunny skies 83/76

Sunset is down to 8:08 here-we fall below 8:00 in the next week or so, that's when I really start to notice things....On the plus side, outdoor movie nights can start earlier!

Last year we had that nice cool down in early September and people claiming summer was over, only to see a return to summer by the 10th
Yep and then we roasted for a month....

Looks like that's about it for today once this quick moving line goes through...

I think I'm going to go out and soap the cars up This rain is easily as heavy as anything from last week. Plenty of thunder to go with it too.
Nice train of storms heading north....

Looks like a carbon copy of last week's pattern-training storms inland and little to nothing on the coast. Currently variably cloudy here, 81/75

Accuweather forums will be shutting down later this year.
Sad times
if a tree falls in a forest and no one is around does it make a noise?

Hello all, been lurking this forum since 2009, don’t know much about weather except what I learned from you guys. The only thing I’m good for is IMBY updates. I love winter and snow, but I also love summer and extreme heat. The forum has been great to me because of my business. I own DL Mechanical LLC Heating and Cooling. Currently live in Port Reading NJ but am moving at the end of August to Brick NJ.
Right now Brick is clear and sunny and 86 degrees
Welcome. Post more-IMBY updates are good during extreme weather-heatwaves, snowstorms, heavy rain-always good to see what other areas are getting.

150 for the first frozen. Should be an interesting winter with the developing weak nino and the Atlantic cold pool
thoughts on whether that cold pool will hurt chances of a big deep noreaster? I think part of the reason March rocked this year was the warm waters out there.

picked up about 6 inches here, mostly in 2 hrs in that superband-down to lighter snows now. Roads plowed and just wet.
