That line in Westchester now approaching Long Island Sound. I figure it will start to die out as it crosses the sound toward Long Island.
yep just some moderate rain here-no wind or thunder...but needed rain at this point

Likely scattered convection, likely the usual suspects the big winners. Coastal central Jersey being the perpetual jackpot.
Central Jersey getting crushed right now too...LOL

I know some don't want rain but I need it. I hope it does not turn into a summer like last year on Long Island where everything goes north, south or west.
Grass is drying out here quickly over the past couple days. Could use a shower-hopefully tonight-tomorrow looks drier now on 12z runs

Hoping for some storms today or tomorrow.
models have a batch tonight. Tomorrow looks less impressive maybe b/c of the storms/cloud debris from tonight?

The lack of storms this year around here has been the biggest surprise. It seems like heat waves always used to end with a widespread severe event or at least some decent storms
the fronts have been more of the back door variety which tend to come through dry...although there were big storms yesterday where it stalled out over DE/SNJ/E PA

Looks like a general steam bath pattern. 92/75 is no fun here either.
models are fairly wet over the next 10 days too...daily T-storm chances it appears

Had a brief shower here earlier. 63 degrees.

crazy training cells in S NJ and DE right along the front

one of the great myths of all time "you can catch a cold from the change in weather" Nope you need to be exposed to a virus.
