    it showed 1-2 inches 72 hrs out for places that got 25-35 or even 40 inches. Awful.

    So ugly. look at the areas that got a HECS-has nothing or close to it for them-Williamsport, Binghamton, VT

    check NWS sites-they usually have them for each region. NYC was 10 and philly was 5.7 that much I know

    8 inches here final. NAM FTW on the sleet intrusion which hit for a couple hrs overnight. Dry slot did some damage too.

    Feb 2013 dropped 30-40 inches in CT. BDR recorded an even 30 for #1 on the all time list. the 40 inch amts were a bit east of here.

    there was one 3 inch event around president's day and that was it. I ended up with something like 70 inches on the year.

    We did luck out with warm and dry after that-a bunch of cutters with 40-50 inches of snow on the ground would have been a disaster

    not saying this is another 10-11 winter, but in that winter we had a big warm up after Boxing day and then by the 10th of Jan we were back in business....

    Was crazy up here too in Jan 94 -there was one, not sure which but it jumped into the 40's briefly then flash froze down to 0. Roads were a mess for days

    NAM nailed it with the sleet getting up here. Hard to tell what we have. Still have moderate snow but guessing 7 or 8 inches on the ground. Very windy and 23 degrees

    off and on mixing here too-RGEM says that goes on for a few hrs then back to all snow-another 8-10 inches LOL

    unless the back end really performs I don't see S CT getting more than 8 inches. Mixing with sleet here already. (credit the NAM on that) Granted I'll take that and run any day, but the radar really fell apart in the last 2 hrs.

    there could also be a change, but it could be brief, like an hour or two-then the storms gets east of one's latitude and winds become more northerly

    sleet will be the wild card for sure. southern edge of the snow zone most at risk of course....

    None of that really matters-even if it did the storm is at night. Dews are so low that once precip starts temps will crash.....

    yeah that's what put Boston and souther VT and NH back into the game

    if the storm performs to its high end some places could get 1/2 to 3/4 of their seasonal total in one night
