  1. At our current vaccination rate 80% of 16+ will be vaccinated by end of May. Along with prior infections, that is herd immunity.
  2. Taylor Hall traded for a 2nd while Foligno gets a 1st. The Sabres cannot do anything right.
  3. BUF is +9.1 for April. Looks like another month well above normal.
  4. Rain totals: Looks like 1-2" across most of WNY https://forecast.weather.gov/product.php?site=NWS&product=PNS&issuedby=BUF
  5. A lot of people are getting them. As long as 60-70% of people get them along with prior infections we will reach herd immunity.
  6. I wonder if a lot of business move overseas with the increasing tax hike coming. From 21-28%?
  7. I don't think the majority of people realize how effective these vaccines are. The flu vaccine is only 40-60% effective. The Measles vaccine is 97% effective and virtual eradicated the virus completely. These covid vaccines have great efficacy.
  8. Looks like some fake news. Pfizer is 91% effective vs South African variant https://www.reuters.com/article/us-health-coronavirus-pfizer/pfizer-biontech-covid-19-shot-91-effective-in-updated-data-protective-against-south-african-variant-idUSKBN2BO55Y
  9. I just finished Vikings and The Last Kingdom, both incredible shows would highly recommend. I am starting Peaky Blinders now. Any other shows you guys recommend?
  10. I haven't but I watched what the health and cowspiracy. My wife has been vegan for 3 years and my best friend for 5 years. I only eat chicken/seafood and only drink almond milk. Do you know how much of climate change can be contributed to the amount of meat we eat? It's mind blowing. They're constantly trying to make me switch.
  11. Looks like OTC meds could have saved 32% of lives lost? https://www.medrxiv.org/content/10.1101/2021.03.29.21253914v1
  12. I played ice hockey and disc golf yesterday after my shot, no issues at all just a sore arm.
  13. Yeah the 2nd article I posted showed the actual numbers. Covid really didn't affect kids 18 and under. The brazilian mutation seems to be targeting the younger population more.
  14. Here is a better article on the matter https://downloads.aap.org/AAP/PDF/AAP and CHA - Children and COVID-19 State Data Report 4.1.21 FINAL.pdf
  15. Only 46 people died from covid between 0-17 years old in the USA since covid started. https://www.cdc.gov/nchs/nvss/vsrr/covid_weekly/index.htm#SexAndAge 477 ages 0-17 died from the flu in the 2018-2019 flu season https://www.cdc.gov/flu/about/burden/2018-2019.html I don't think it really matters for those under 17, unless the Brazilian variant really is that deadly for those younger.. The flu is 10 times more deadly for those under 17, unless I am reading the data incorrectly?
  16. Yeah I had a ice hockey game tonight. We all went outside in the parking lot after and drank beers around their trucks. Usually we drink in the locker room. Can't beat this weather.
  17. Feels good to be one of these numbers - 4.6M new doses (record) - Avg at 3.11M per day (record)
  18. Yeah if anyone is to get a vaccine, I would choose Pfizer, its nearly at full FDA approval. To put it into context, pre workout is not FDA approved and I took that for 6 years.
  19. Just got my 1st Pfizer shot, was a little dizzy for the first 1-2 minutes but feel fine now. I hate needles in general and get really light headed/dizzy whenever I get blood work I have to sit in that big blue chair and lay back. It's something genetic as my sister is the same way. Extremely smooth operation at University of Buffalo, thousands of people getting vaccinated over there each day.
