  1. With a normal Nina you would get an early lake effect season on average. Late Nov-Mid January should be the typical time to get a bunch of events.
  2. These maps make sense. I think slightly warmer than average winter with above normal snow. Looks like a weak La Nina map. Where them clippers at?
  3. Only hope is it starts raining after the game Sunday, there is a chance its more sporadic earlier in the day. Where are you going camping?
  4. Really hope it holds off for bills game got tickets. I bought the tickets a few days ago when KBUF forecast was 68 and sunny for Sunday. I really need to look at the models instead of trusting them, they suck.
  5. What about them Yankees. I cheered for the Stanton HR like I do for Allens TDS. I still got the love for my childhood team.
  6. Thats a good question. Not exactly sure. I think we have one more bad round of covid this winter before we break free from this thing next year, unless the government keeps prolonging it. It's definitely mades its way back to our area, my friend and his GF both have it and they are both vaccinated. (mild symptoms)
  7. TEMPERATURE (F) TODAY MAXIMUM 69 2:23 PM MINIMUM 46 6:32 AM AVERAGE 58
  8. Well we’ve been above normal every month this year except feb, may and July. So cpc Is doing okay. The departures have been substantial in the above average month's. The below average months have been right in the -0 to -1
  9. Lake Erie is at record highs for this time of year. That also plays a factor... The bottom of lake Erie is the warmest I've seen it for this time of year
  10. The highlighted isn't odd, we've been pretty warm this month. What were the low temps in the surrounding stations last night? KBUF hit the low between 5 and 6 am https://w1.weather.gov/data/obhistory/KBUF.html
  11. Where do you see that the PWS stations update at those times? Most of North Buffalo is in the low/mid 50s right now.
  12. last years was confirmed to have an issue but KBUF replaced the broken part. This years data is fine. SYR is equal to KBUF with temps this year and they have no lake keeping them warm.
  13. I'll be up there next weekend hiking. You usually see snow above 4k in mid October.
  14. Kind of what we expected. The order allows out-of-state and international health care workers to practice in New York. Additionally, it creates a fast track process for retired workers to get certified to work, and expands the list of people eligible to administer vaccinations.
  15. Sunny and mid 60s is perfect fall weather. Will definitely get the leafs changing quick. We have very little color change so far here.
  16. I was under the impression that you had to prove you had a negative test within 72 hours of flying in order to board an airplane? If not they send you back until you get one.
  17. Thanks, looks they re-calibrated just in case. In the end its hard to compare recreational stations vs professionally managed stations that are constantly monitored by meteorologists. You take KBUFs reading over the rest and it matches up well against other stations besides ROC. But in fall we all know Lake Erie keeps us way warmer than nearly every other major reporting station around here. ROC doesn't have a 75 degree lake 10 miles away that has a consistent W/SW breeze. Overnight lows are much warmer around here in the fall.
  18. All models had coast to coast ridge during this time period. Changed quickly.
