  1. GFS: light to moderate event followed by real cold. Let's go!!!!!!!
  2. So glad I had my basement fully waterproofed....can see moisture seeping through the walls. This would've been a major flood without the french drain/sump pump system.
  3. FACTS, another perfect track rain storm in mid January.
  4. Wow big wind in takoma park all of a sudden, easily gusting 40-50
  5. Deluge in takoma park with gusty winds. Streets starting to pond and flood a bit.
  6. Weak and disorganized I'd prefer at this range to another wound up cutter though. Room for improvement.
  7. GFS is properly cold after the Tuesday storm. That would be great. 6 inches of snow and then a week below freezing temps.
  8. Also the timing is way different, storm sped up by like 24 hours.
  9. Yeah as depicted no bueno. But hopefully will change. GEFS looks good to me at 186....below normal temps and precip to our south.
  10. I like it, supports the general idea of a wave tracking to our south as the Euro showed. Pretty decent consistency with the track this far out.
  11. Euro is such a classic beautiful snowstorm for I-95 for next week, arctic air and no precip issues for our entire subforum basically. Gosh we need that badly.
  12. 2 more weeks til we can punt February and start talking about shorts and 70 degree days
  13. Wow radar is beautiful, would’ve been a heck of a thump of snow.
  14. Gfs run sucks, oh well. It’s almost time to switch into cherry blossom mode anyway.
  15. Oh nice —> that can be a rough car ride from here. Was just up that way to visit family for new years. Enjoy.
  16. Pretty nice squall line on the 3k nam for us tomorrow, maybe some thunder.
  17. This has turned into a poconos,Catskills berkshires, southern green mountains event…which makes sense given the fact that there is no cold air. Oh well!
  18. And now the punting of 2 week sections of January begins. GFS is a parade of rainers and ends its run at like 70 degrees in the mid Atlantic.
  19. Not really! Look at our big storms and check the temperature of cities north and west of us. Saturday morning is barely below freezing in Chicago Detroit buffalo and saranac lake. It’s just not cold enough.
  20. Good thing we'll have a miller B screwjob to track for MLK! Rain for us and a foot for NYC to Boston!
  21. Bad run but it's not the least bit surprising, there is no cold air available so it makes sense that this is a situation for central PA and the catskills to jackpot in. Saturday morning temps are gonna be like 30 degrees in Pittsburgh, if it's barely below freezing that far NW of here you know the depth of the cold isn't going to be sufficient for us.
