  1. One last post for May. Wound up with 12 inches of rain for the month, 7 inches was last week alone. Yesterday the sunshine in the early morning was beautiful, then the smoke arrived. The weather this year in general in my area has been overall awful. Today more smoke, then the dust is coming....LOL. The models show a wetter than normal pattern for June. Its getting old, but I am sure by the end July we will be in drought conditions. Its all or nothing these days.
  2. So weekend looking iffy around the ATL area. Rained the last 2 weekends, and this one looking borderline again. Not a washout, but could definitely ruin some outdoor plans. Have a great holiday weekend everyone. Lets all remember what this weekend represents. We owe our freedom to all those who served.
  3. So it looks like the abnormal cold that was forecast is backing off a bit for my area, and most in the South East. Sure some of the high elevations could get cold, but as usual, the warmth prevails this time of year. I will enjoy the one or 2 slightly below normal temps, and low humidity. Come the end of the month though, looks like another shot of "cold"
  4. Just in time for everyone's outdoor plans for Memorial day. The good thing, is even with below temps it will still be warm for outdoor activities, just not scorching hot, which is nice.
  5. Gonna be a coolish week ahead. Low of 46 monday morning
  6. Yup, cold nights. But the daytime temps were perfect for golf. Was a beautiful weekend.
  7. Some wicked storms came through around midnight last night. Lots of wind and half inch hail. My back patio was half covered. Half inch of precip.
  8. Dipped down to 37 this morning, with scattered frost. Looks like the roller coaster will continue with highs tomorrow in the upper 70's, and another possible frost watch Saturday.
  9. Just another day here in Tornado alley. Tornado touched down a few miles from me again. This is getting old. We are up to 4.23" inch of rain so far.
  10. GFS backing off the cold a little as of this morning. Is it lining up with the Euro now? Or is that getting slightly warmer? Yes, we will be below normal, but seems like not as severe.
  11. My pool has been open since 2 weeks ago. Loving this warm start of spring, but yes, the next couple of weeks after this Saturday will kill the swim season. Looks warm again 3rd and 4th week of April though.
  12. Lol. Nope...Im a dummy
  13. I am shocked at how quiet it is here. I understand its all about the snow, but severe weather is no joke. 3rd Tornado warning in my area just this year so far. 2 of the warnings had 2 tornadoes on the ground within 5 miles of me. I am assuming the severe line dissipated when it got close to the coast?
  14. Wow! Tornado on ground just to my north in Newnan. This developed quickly. Thankfully just some heavy rain here with some high winds.
  15. Same here. I seriously hope we get that rain today.
  16. What a bust in my area for any rain. Got a couple of drops so far, radar looks pathetic. Was hoping for the needed rainfall. as of yesterday we were predicted for at least an inch of rain between today and tomorrow. Now I'm thinking we end up with nothing. Bummer.
  17. Last few days have been perfect...well other than the pollen. YIKES!!! Mid to upper 70's with low humidity. Doesn't get much better.
  18. Picked up .30" yesterday. Good for my new sod. Looks like more this weekend.
  19. Latest Euro showing mostly AN, with a few BN day here and there now.
  20. Ehhh, I am not buying it. Its not like its way below normal either. when I said warm, 70's in the daytime are ok with me.
  21. Low of 33 this morning, Looking like a nice warm stretch ahead for next week.
  22. Was at 66 and hour ago, front passed with some rain and wind, now at 55.
  23. We have a forecast high of 80 today and low of 32 tomorrow night here. These swings are nuts.
  24. Another windy day, but mostly sunny and 74. Seems like it's windy every day lately.
  25. South of ATL here. We dodged a bullet to be honest. Stayed up until 1 am watching radar drop tornadoes just to our west in Alabama. By 1am we could see the tornado threat was over for us thankfully. North of ATL though got 2 bands of severe thunderstorms move through with damaging winds. We did have a few 60mph gusts here, but thankfully no damage, we have power. Just a mess in the yard. Stay safe everyone, hopefully the tornado threat is gone
