Wow! I thought it was dry here. That's brutal

1.5" total from yesterdays light event, and this morning heavy event. Could possibly get a little more in an hour or so if it holds together. Much needed rainfall finally. We haven't had any since Easter, and before that was 3 weeks. Literally an inch of rain in 2 mos before this event.

Well ....it's about time!!!! Haven't seen rain like this in at least 6mos. Currently at 1.1 inches so far since yesterday. Looks like a decent amount still heading this way!

I just watched all the rain north of Atlanta disappear over my county, only to have it redevelop after my county. You seriously can't make this up. Lol. I'm guessing eventually it will rain? Who knows, maybe not

I still think the area south of ATL gets F'd again. The moisture just disappears whenever it gets close. I've seen it way too many times the last 9 mos.

Latest GFS showing lots of precip the ATL area the next week. One can dream. I'd be happy with a quarter of what it's showing at this point.

We got a big fat zilch! Zero point zero today. I bet we get absolutely nothing the next week too. I literally watch the radar, and 20 miles to my west the rain just disappears. I'm so done with this crap. We literally have had maybe 2 Inches of rain the last 4 months. This is insane. Oak trees are looking bad. Yellow leaves, and staring to drop leaves

It cleared up in the ATL area this afternoon. Beautiful day! Rain tomorrow looking a little more promising. Fingers crossed..some should get a decent amount.

I mean at this point a half inch the next week would obviously be better than nothing.

I mean eventually it will rain, but every time we get within a few days the rain disappears. So the drought and fires will continue to worse. This spring is a big pile of dogshit. Enough already.

Models already backing down on amount of precip. I've seen this the last 6 mos. I got a bad feeling about this. I hope this doesn't just fizzle out again. Yup, even less precip on the models this morning. We now have fires in south ga, with fires starting in Myrtle Beach area, along with Fla. It's only gonna get worse, much worse!

Bring it!!!! I'm still sceptical though. It is nice to see a change in pattern though. I can't believe how brown it is around here. We basically just got out of dormancy here, and went right back.

For my area, sure its been hot. But the humidity has been very low. These temps are tolerable with the low humidity. Front came through early this morning, feels like Fall. 47 degrees with 20MPH winds. ZERO rain with it though. The GA red clay dustbowl continues. Oaks dropping leaves already

Front just came through....ZERO precip. Starting next Saturday though looks like an actual chance for some real precip for a few days! One can dream.

Ironically, I am right by that .8. Talk about the screw zone! Local mets saying to get out of the drought conditions we would need around 20 to 25 inches of rain the next couple of months. I'd be shocked if we get that much rain in the next year.

Unfortunately I just looked this morning. Same for Georgia. Absolutely zilch through May 3rd. You would think with the heat we would get some rogue tstorms. Big fat nothing. The clay has turned into permanent cement, and is now starting to crack open in many spots on my property.
