  1. I the cold is overdone and the model runs today are reacting to it
  2. It’s only Monday, I like the set up. We’re getting snow, it will only be a matter of how much
  3. Maybe we should make a thread, all other sub forums did
  4. PDII was forecast to be a hit by five days out. Anyway, the MJO will be moving into phase 7 and the NAO will be somewhat negative. I don’t see any blocking. I’d like to see the the cold air mass dig a little deeper and we’d be in business
  5. MJO is moving into a more favorable phase 7/8 which also is good for significant snowstorms
  6. The MJO will be in a more favorable phase by then
  7. Also the MJO will be in phase 6 which does not favor snow for the east coast
  8. MJO forecast was forecast for this time period to be in phase six, and is. It won’t be any where near phase eight until the end of this month
  9. That was wild, really weird too. So damn cold at the surface yet it was raining. My jacket was coated with ice.
  10. It’s plain rain, not so sure about air temp. Really don’t have a thermometer however per wundergound it’s below freezing
  11. I think what will be interesting to watch with this storm is if it really does over perform. It’ll show what we can expect from storms for the rest of the winter year.
  12. Also very rarely will a storm flip back to snow from ZR or sleet. Unless it’s an intense storm, the warm nose will take over and not budge
  13. Not buying into that time frame until the PNA is positive and there is some blocking
  14. So it seems late December will be our next shot at snow. The MJO looks to be in the circle of death. I read in the NYC forum that there might be some blocking during that time frame. What else is needed for a classic winter storm, there is one piece missing…I believe it’s the PNA needs to be either positive or negative. Can someone help me out The MJO should be in phase eight, need a negative NAO for blocking and what else
  15. And right on queue it’ll run out of steam and be a lame storm as it approaches buck’s county
  16. Someone in the NYC forum said the NAM is amping up precipitation for Friday too
  17. I work in Langhorne and watched it roll in on radar. Dark clouds for sure and the lightning was impressive
  18. Yeah, I was told yesterday that I was strange when I mentioned how I enjoy the heat and humidity
