  1. I marvel at your apparent confidence in research that proclaims to cover periods of time stretching back 100's of millions of years. It's a bold stance and you do it with conviction.
  2. Wind woke me up around 3am howling pretty good. A car cover took a beating but no branches down. We lost them ALL over the past few seasons. Only registered 30.9mph as the high gust but sensor placement, wind direction, yada, yada...
  3. 480+ million years is a long time. These two statements strike me as being incredibly ironic.
  4. Well since you didn't ask for it...my opinion surrounding this kind of data is that it's problematic using a human scale of time that's approximately three generations-ish, cast onto a planetary system that has a seeming complete disregard for that human scale of time. Depending on what someone's personal beliefs systems are, the planet is pretty old. I subscribe to the fact that it's exceedingly old - millennia+. Viewing planetary data on a time scale so small is seemingly akin to analyzing a single heartbeat over a lifetime to determine the health of someone. It doesn't change the data but I believe it should be considered in the analysis of the data. You had a post over the past week or so mentioning the need to incorporate recent data into analysis without letting that recent data bias that same analysis which makes total sense to me. I believe we're viewing data that belongs on such an astronomically long time scale that even data sets incorporating 10's of thousands or millions of years may still be considered "recent".
  5. 42 and cloudy all day long here. Vicious departure from yesterday.
  6. Those inch to inch and a half measurements around this area look spot on to me. Definitely makes for an easier morning.
  7. Your area has been warmer than the coast all day. Kind of like April and May
  8. I believe he's suffering from low albedo based on all the symptoms and anger he's exhibiting here.
  9. Warming up nicely here as well!
  10. About 4” here. Pretty morning with a deep winter vibe. Looking forward to feeling 50+ today for the high! Yesterday before the snow started and then first thing this morning.
  11. We're watching the poor guy's deep well of optimism be cannibalized by Stein and run dry in real time. Sad.
  12. Uh... @weatherwiz?? https://6abc.com/post/pennsylvania-man-set-fires-kill-spiders-igniting-blaze-damaged-homes-police/18646148/
  13. Wow! That was a crazy fire. Headline said two hurt, which if true and the only injuries, is amazing considering the inferno there.
  14. We had a SWS this morning until 10am for heavy-ish snow during the morning commute which did seem to take place. Stake is showing about right on 1" new from it here.
  15. Thank you for taking the time to put this together, I appreciate it.
  16. Are the primary drivers for the similarities in areas hit and amounts dropped (in 1978 and 2026) largely due to the intensity of the storm and it's positioning? I understand 1978 stalled out and snowed over a longer period of time but am mostly curious about the how/why those intense bands just continued to clobber that SEMA and PVD area specifically in both instances.
  17. My unofficial stake showed a total increase of 3” from start to finish. Seems pretty disingenuous though as it plowed more like 6-8”. The drifting, existing snow and density made it feel like a decent amount.
  18. If nothing else, you're definitely passionate my friend!
  19. Wow, you guys really are getting nailed down there! Good stuff!
  20. Good to see you post. Always appreciate your insight and perspective on the weather!
  21. Southeast NH. First pic was 8am yesterday morning, second was 9am this morning. It’s windy and snowing but this gets a full fledged TBlizz “meh” at this stage.
