  1. Yeah well it was well juiced coming this way,dry air couldnt dry everything out obviously. Also slight north jog helped a bit.
  2. You know it's snowing outside when snowman goes missing. Not a weenie emoji in sight.
  3. Light snow for the last half hour here. Glad to see some northern folk get some love too, would say a tad north of guidance so far with the falling precip. I do expect some filling in as the ull scoots between cape may,nj and ocean city,md.which might also be a surprise for some as i dont think it was modeled to be near the ohio river valley moving ene atm.
  4. Meanwhile it backside energy is moving ene out of kentucky, following the path of least resistance in to Southern oh/wv. Curious to see where it exits off the coast or dies crossing the apps.
  5. Ill let you know when it starts snowing in an hour or so. Either way it snows..and no not all is virga.
  6. That northern fringe band is getting its act together. Cleveland to scranton..down to nyc??
  7. Its gonna be close..personally i think you see more then 1.5 but just just me .
  8. There is def gonna be a good band at its most northern fringe, where it sets up is anyones guess .
  9. The banding features already showing up look promising even for us up here in the city.
  10. Its incoming amigo ..i literally mentioned the fact that its snowing areas where "virga" was a issue.
  11. Credit is given, however if it snows where it doesnt show much at all,it would still be a bust. Looking at the radar right now,id say we have a good shot of steady snow for a bit.
  12. Its snowing in harrisburg currently. Virga over southern nj moving nne. Soon enough we will know if virga is shortlived, interestingly the rh around these parts varies from 58% to 68% with varied winds. Some se winds are showing up.
  13. Always good to see a blooming radar for the i80 corridor, translates well for all of us including the city.
  14. Snowing in Cleveland..snow in nyc in a few hours. The snowline is following i80 or just north across in to the city later. Also a odd disturbance near toronto, might explain why the precip shield is north and still trying to push our way.
  15. Whats crazier its that its still maturing. I said it earier, this is going to be stronger then modeled. Gom is open for biz btw..
  16. I was also told that during a minor event forecasted for a trace..got 4.. it can happen reguardless of how many weenies get put up by snowman
  17. Def not but im not talking big jumps, every mile literally counts esp in these sharp cutoff situations. If the precip shield reaches i80 corridor from des Moines to chicago down the line to nyc.. then yes it would have shifted north quite a bit .. still yet to be seen though.
  18. Baby steps..all i root for atm. Might not be much but the trend is north my friend.
  19. The nam is north in any way we slice it,i suspect most models will play catch up. The north trend will keep inching north imo.
  20. Either way should be interesting to watch it play out,im firmly on the north trend though. It's a great battle between barometric pressures,so who knows.
  21. This is going to be a huge storm. Also we need to see if precip makes it to chicago,if it snows there,it will likely snow here .
  22. My sanity is fine,if rooting for any snowfall is insane then put me in the asylum.
  23. 0z runs are gonna be interesting, im also in the north trend camp. I dont see a shutout esp as powerful as this storm could be,a battle of pressures ensues.
