The coastal is down to 29.80. Still off the nc/va border. It might go to a mix but.. all that precip behind will go back to snow,if the primary starts weakening which is looking like it. Still too close to call for nyc. We might not be done snowing even if it mixes.
If we dont change or barely change and go back..we might measure snow with yard sticks. Thats a guaranteed 16 to 20 inch amounts across the northern parts of nyc.
As of now your at 10.1 as le. Im right [email protected] here. We are cranking snow in these parts, comparable to amounts across nw jersey and upstate ny rn.
Seems like the sweet spot runs across the north shore of l.i,across to northern queens and the bronx, right into upper Manhattan. These places have over 7+ inches already, some spots near 9.
10/9f with heavy snow currently. Most of the bronx already has between 8 and 9 inches down. the temps haven't gone anywhere. Double digits are in sight here in the bx.
The coastal front is developing it seems. Places like the bronx and northern Manhattan stay frozen, mix briefly back to snow. East of that coastal front ice/rain.
Im just about@8 inches here..heavy snow currently with nne winds, keepin it snow for a while more...I see 12 to 16 easy here. If that coastal keeps deepening then all bets are off. There is some hint of a transfer going on rn off the nc/va coast. Still 9 degrees btw.
