    Its ripping out here,currently in a strong band..running down from the bx to brooklyn..2.7 down and still going..might get to 4 or 5 inches. I expect some back building bands to clear the area later.

    Dual vorts. On radar you can pick up the distinctive spins,everything tracking ene. Its still getting it's act together btw.

    Some of those bands are going to be intense,esp when deepening happens fast. No model can predict the placement of those.

    The storm and cold postponed my trip to dc Sunday morn..they moved everything inside also which blows. But ill be home tracking this baby atleast

    Whats the crazy part is the jma and icon have been pretty darn consistent all week. The globals need some upgrading tbh.

    Add the 12z jma(japan) and 12 z nogaps(navy) models to the party. The icon also brings the goods.. overall looking good guys!..for a model that gets barely mentioned,the icon has been pretty consistent for the last couple of days.

    Every run keeps reducing the nw accumulations. I wouldnt be surprized if the city and just nw get the major banding accumulations,its certainly getting there.

    The 0z cmc looks horrible. The icon.jma.nogaps.nam.gfs.and euro have good snows for the area.

    Basically my initial thoughts before 0z, everything is trending to a consensus. We snow!!. It is coming in more juiced also.

    The 18z gfs and 0z nam look pretty darn similar. We all snow to the coast unless your in Eastern end of li. 3 to 6 is good call atm. 0z gfs should be coming out soon.

    Nice burst of snow rn..apparently its been snowing though since i see light dustings everywhere. Pixie dust for sure.

    I agree, although the enhancement can come earlier depening in the actual short wave coming thru. It can easily get anyone from the city east with any ocean interaction or re development.

    Radar starting to bloom along i95 nyc down to phil.. interaction is def happening with this one. We might be in a sweetspot depending on where the precip sets up.

    I think we get a burst or two..the actual energy is still to our west,so enhancement is not out of question esp along the coast.

    Its 27f/cloudy here. curiousity turns to a shortwave rounding the base. We should see some snow flurries or showers associated with it. Also Keeping track of the pressure drops around the area,just to see if a low pops up just off the mid-atlantic coast later.

    36/24f increasing clouds. Maybe with the frontal passage we get some flurries or a burst of snow?.

    we have 3 lows atm. The one in tenn is actually stronger then the one in ga and interacting with the northern stream jussstt a bit.

    That ull is actually interacting with the ocean atm. Higher cloud tops also building in to nyc, should be a good final hurrah.

    Looking more and more likely that we get 1 more band of snow as the colder air rings everything out esp if the ull keeps moving ene, pitt to harrisburg is starting to see a pickup on radar.

    Phil to dc gets another round of heavier snow later on,might be interesting to see how far north the ull can go. It's following the path of least resistance and currently near Huntington,wv.
