I believed in a backlogged season anyway. Also the warmth will come but the cold wont be far,its still winter.

La nina for a long duration,meant that a el nino year would be dicey to forecast in any sense. Also it's mother nature.

The 24th and 25th..might be the long duration humdinger for all of us. Its turning out to be a decent winter reguardless of ourcomes. Better then last year obviously.

They were but the qpf equated to more,in essence they should have 8 to 10 lol

Interesting that the temps stayed at freezing in the city itself,but ratios went up as you went north even with less qpf. Im kinda shocked because there is almost 3 inches of fluff outside and its still snowing. Temps were 28-29 here whole time.

Some good bands merging over us now. One from the nw and the other from the sw..rates are pretty gd now even if the radar doesnt indicate it.

29f..1.5 inches of fluffy stuff..radar is filling in to our west.

37/15f..high ratio snow tonight. Easily might be a overperformer this time. Also the radar looks great!!

1 week and i saw snow 2 times with a 3rd coming,cant complain about winter not wintering this week folks. Officially a trace fell last night up here

Northern parts of the city also have some elevation and pockets of natural forrest. Temps usually are about a degree or 2 colder up here.

Ive been tracking the north shift since 0z. Look at the radar out west and do the math. We might do well here.

The bronx and northeastern parts of queens are at or over 6 already,heavy snow still falling albeit short lived. 6.6 down. Nw bx.

This baby is still going. 6 - 8 is a gd number across this area by the time it wraps up. and ill take it everytime.

Its kinda crazy because we started late and have over 6+ here in the northern tier of nyc,its coming down extremely hard atm. These parts have been ripping for almost 4 hours straight and literally caught up to some of those totals up there... Crazy stuff. Also l.i is getting lambasted and thry too have reported places with 6+
