  1. 7pm sunset is a game changer every year. gives a fresh breath of air to the daily routine. also looking forward to some rain to get this salt out of here. not sure about other areas in the metro but white plains should be banned from ever looking at salt again. its absurd what they do, especially considering i come from somewhere with a significantly higher amount of snowfall than down here, i've never seen such blatant salt usage
  2. like clockwork, march gets your hopes up then april crushes us with some of the most depressing weather of the year
  3. agreed. by march the fun of it has worn off for me and i remember that i can go skateboarding outside and not in head to toe long johns. we skate a parking garage in dobbs ferry where im nearly certain theres loads of asbestos or some other highly carcinogenic insulation that we breathe in 3-4 times a week for the duration of winter. obv, thats my own problem, but having skateboarded essentially my entire life it's not something i can just shelf for a few months. the snow is beautiful but by march i've exhausted my 4 hoodies i own and im ready to be outside in a tee shirt again. on the other hand, i'd certainly rather see it snow than the 30 straight days of grey, rain, wind, and 51 degrees that april will surely bring lmao
  4. almost positive you wouldn't say that if it showed an outcome you like can winter be over now? kinda really sick of not feeling the sun on my skin and spending more time than not inside
  5. i just looked outside and holy shlamola its ripping in wp rn
  6. my man got the thickest bk accent i've ever heard
  7. after many store visits, the gas station near me had a ton lmao
  8. just realized i need probs buy a shovel. last one broke when i came home from california a month ago and there was a foot of snow glued-with ice stuck to my car and all around it lmao
  9. im from albany, and my whole family is from syracuse. although its 2 hours and 17 mins to my parents house from my apartment in white plains. winters down here are light work compared to upstate, cant fathom maine
  10. as a past and a near future sd resident, im laughing at how people are handling their lil cool snap out there rn. was 40 in la mesa (about 8 miles east from downtown sd) and people are "freezing". my girlfriend (native san diegan) who lives out there has been complaining about the cold lmao
  11. hi amwx'ers. i will (most likely) be relocating back to san diego in the beginning of next year. will be doing a back and forth between sd and albany (2 months sd, one month albs). i am beyond ecstatic to not live in the nyc metro (sorry) but what a send off for winter we're about to have. lets all cash in here
  12. im from albs. i can attest that it will be a freezer throughout march. full seasonal depression energy until may
  13. i actually went to college in savannah (scad) and no one has experienced hell until you walk through downtown savannah at 2pm on a july day. like walking through sludge. beautiful town though, lived right on gaston st for the last 2 years i lived there. i miss it sometimes... until i remember the humidity
  14. theoretically it has to give out at some point and we see a significant warm up. at least that's what im hoping for. i see no point in a cold march and april. as soon as it hits march 1st i yearn for 72 and sunny
  15. cant lie, ive been in san diego for the last week and i'm kind of dreading heading home tomorrow. it was 81 here yesterday with another day in the 80's slated for today. snow is great and all, especially around the holidays, but i'm personally over it by mid feb because... i like being outside in the warmth and not going nuts in my house i think im looking for a torch pattern
  16. i will be in california for the duration of this event. but i can recommend this: if your local store is out of dairy milk, consider oat milk. its tasty and cow-less anyways im only a lil jealous of yall but pls enjoy for me:)
  17. if this verified i can't fathom the level of disaster this would cause for anyone who cares (no one) i changed my flight to saturday. while you are all *potentially* seeing our first major storm in a long time, i will be in the warm embrace of southern californias never ending sunshine. will be watching the board to see how we make out. lets hope we get some snow and more comes in feb!
