    really hope we get a good stretch the next few weeks. then march 1st its 70 and sunny for the foreseeable future

    on a serious note though, at this point in time we should all collectively *take a breath* and admit that the best part of winter climo is rapidly coming to a close. although the hope to see a decent snow event should not be lost entirely we should be rational with the way we interpret data and not jump into some sort of false hope scenario. maybe we score in late feb, if we dont, too bad. next year we try again

    honestly, as january comes to a close i think its normal that we'd like to see some warmth. my seasonal depression is at an all time high and with no *legitimate* snowfall opportunities on the horizon i hope for some warmth. toss a 3-5" event in there somewhere and i think we're all happy. the most snow ive seen this season was when I was in albany for the holidays, snowed multiple times. that kinda made up for the past few dumpster fire winters we've had down here.

    why are we so concerned about the meso models rn? honestly the 00Z runs today will be more telling with those. we're still in the long-ish range for the RGEM and NAM so both of them make sense as the greatest outliers. we need to get the frontal development figured out before we really merit any good solution to those two models
