  1. Well for 1...I haven't used my snowblower this winter. 2. something about this modeled system isn't sitting right. It's a unique set-up as modeled. The primary LP tracks to Montreal while the secondary forms of ACY and never gains any latitude. Not saying that unique set-ups can't produce, I'm just saying that I'm currently expecting 6" strung out over like 24 hours.
  2. Well that was fun while it lasted. Guess I still won't be using my snowblower this winter. Note: count me solidly in the skeptical camp. The 12z Euro & 18z GFS were great because of the 850mb firehose from the east-southeast. That has trended downhill since.
  3. What an absolute bomb on the Euro for March 4.
  4. Was just thinking the same thing. Congrats MVY. What a winter for them.
  5. 18z GFS more in line with a surface evolution for a big dog compared to Euro in my opinion.
  6. T-Blizz is right. I got both my BS & MS from UML. I got a 6 month old so my red tag has been a low priority. At UML I did a quick research project on which storm type, A or B, gives Lowell the most snow. I went through the NESIS scores and determined top 5 obvious A & B storms. I don’t remember exact numbers, but I think it’s B by a couple inches on average.
  7. Am I the only one who thinks the Euro's evolution is a bit....odd? Like the primary tracks to Montreal and the secondary moves southeast away from us and somehow we pull like 2.5" of QPF? The GFS probably runs the primary and secondary too far into the block. The Euro is overdoing it. Leaving the GGEM as reasonable?
  8. NWS has preset ranges I think. So even if the ceiling is 13". Still going to see 12-18".
  9. And unfortunately a likely accurate depiction.
  10. Since the next 2 weeks period looks like a fail for snow….fire up the lawn thread?
  11. Are we sure we want it to snow? God it’s nice out.
  12. This feels like one of those events where we get fooled into thinking the cold air will hold off the warmth aloft long enough to pick up 4-5” here. But when the event arrives it’s pinging 45 minutes after precipitation starts. And the posts or “Bust!” arrive quickly.
  13. Tuesday is a little interesting on NAM.
  14. Be careful expecting >0.5” of IP always
  15. ASH is a Boston suburb at this point. Average home price like $500k.
  16. You must be new here. He's legit been wishing for a grid collapsing ice storm forever. Have to feel bad that his two weather dreams (grid collapsing ice storm; cat 3+ cane) likely won't occur in his lifetime.
  17. Only a completely different topic.....stepped outside this morning and heard a bird call and my first reaction was "that's a spring bird." I don't know bird calls, but thought it interesting that my brain's first reaction was spring to hearing this specific bird.
  18. 1 might argue that 0-1" for the SNE areas impacted above is dynamic for winter 22-23.
  19. How many days until it’s worth paying attention to something? Check back in during cutter on 9th?
