    In December 2010 MJO was in 4,5,6 and it was a cold snowy month..It was supposed to be warm this week it's not..Really stop looking at these 2 to 3 week long range forecasts..they are usually wrong,

    I'd be surprised if GFS is right about Turkey Day. I mean a 6z miss?..Where have we seen that before?.And even though the parade will be wet, we do need that rain.

    Sun is equal to mid January..Nothing wrong with sun angle lol..BUT marginal temps seem to be the problem

    We had a promising clipper come down in the middle of the month. Forecast was for snow..I think 2-4 inches but easterly winds were the killer. A brief period of wet snow over to rain.

    GFS is bringing November weather back.

    It will definitely rain in November. We don't live in a desert.

    is 01-02 a analog?..There was one snow event in January..besides that there was no winter.

    Isn't the average mid November on the coast?

    We had 3 events of 3 inches in January..wasn't the worst winter..below normal but decent..22-23 was a nightmare.

    The average high in October is 70 at the beginning of the month to upper 50's by Halloween..So temps in the mid 60's are normal..October was really never cold.

    It looks warm but here's the problem with these 3 month weather forecasts. It says 1-2 degrees above normal temps for the winter as a whole, if correct. Doesn't mean it's going to be warm all the time..and yes guess what?..it could be wrong!...First lets get 3-7 day forecasts correct. No model can see ahead 2 months in advance. I hope we can look back on this post and say I told you so! If not it saves on heating bills lol.

    2022 the lowest snowfall for NYC in history..Hope the winter doesn't continue the analog lol

    September was supposed to be warm..Take it with a grain of salt.

    You can get up to Dead Horse using the Daulton from Fairbanks..But Barrow it has to be a plane,,no roads out of the tolwn. Talk about being trapped lol..no escape from 40 below.
