  1. CRAZY RATES .. like 2"/hr .. near whiteout .. approaching 10" . No let up in sight! Just kidding.. still snowing at a moderate, sometime heavy, clip. Grass and cars coated. Roads are fine. 33.1/32 Still nice to watch. Kids enjoying it! Now huddled around the fire.
  2. The rain changed to snow right where the dewpoint (green line) started falling around 2:30
  3. heavy snow... prob 1/4 mile visibility. 34.5/32. And it's sticking.
  4. It switched. from all ran to all snow while waiting in the CVS line. That was about 45 minutes ago.
  5. Up to "dusting" status already. Grass whitening up quickly. Heavy wet snow.
  6. Ok ok the snow is mixing in a bit.. I'm not THAT unlucky
  7. Not a single flake so far. I blame that wretched lake nearby.
  8. The most fantastic cold rain I've ever experienced. Who needs snow when you can watch this stuff fall.
  9. it'll eventually mix in if and when a heavier band moves in.. not counting on much accumulation at all
  10. A beautiful cold rain in Race City USA 39.6/35.1 DP
  11. I'm sitting here in Corine's watching out.
  12. Temp and DP actually went up in the past hour by a degree. 41.7/28.9. Going to need to sit in a heavy band to drop these sfc temps if anything it going to accumulate.
  13. GFS vort energy leaning further west.. good trends good trends
  14. I ain't impressed. Better hope for a last minute tweak to make this more than just more token flakes (at least for W NC). But it could be one of those overperformers... just had one for N GA!
  15. Not the 0z OP run (12z still coming in) but the EPS is similar with large HP overhead and a weak area low LP off the east coast. Good enough for now. BTW here is the mean MSLP on teh GEFS at 264 hrs. Nice overrunning type event here:
  16. It's a good trend I will say. Hopefully it continues. Here is depth at 288 hrs.
