    Euro looks great for Friday for those of us who just jacked. Euro called it for days in advance, so why would I doubt them on this next one. Ukie has a few inches here, too.

    The Euro had zeroed in for days on the Boston area south. A big win for it. The GFS was the big loser.

    I haven't measured because of the wind but if Logan is 15", we have to be at least that here as the band has been oriented from Boston to us.

    Absolutely pounding here now, right in the middle of that band. Easily 2"/hr.

    Pounding here. Been under that band for some time now, but not attempting to measure with the wind. Virtually impossible to get accuracy or even close to it.

    05z RAP here has 2"/hr rates still from 21z-23z and 1"/hr from 23z-01z. Then it tapers off. Edit- Using the higher ratio.

    BOX AFD discussion said they could be as high as 20-25 to 1 in bands, so clown maps could be understated for once in their life.

    I recall the same uncertainty a day out from the 78 blizzard, and back then they didn't have the luxury of these models.

    Actually, it quoted the NAM in its discussion as being accurate at this time frame with major systems.

    You would never know that's the official outlook by reading some on this board, lol. Even the clown maps could be understating "ratios 20-25 to 1".

    RAP drops .15" qpf here between 16-17z on 20z run. That's a 2-3 inch/hr rate.
