  1. I cleared my truck off and took a short jaunt down Library Road to Rite Aid. I live a half mile away if that. Library was in bad shape.
  2. Yeah, we're doing pretty well down here so far. Snow has let up a bit since that pic that I took earlier but still coming down steadily.
  3. Yep. I'll take it, especially since I don't have to drive in it today. Two good snowfalls before the winter season officially begins. Not bad.

  5. Thank you. I really appreciate that. I'm not going to lose sleep or get all emotional over this hobby anymore. I've been through too much to let a missed or disappointing storm bother me, but I do want to get some enjoyment out of it again and do some tracking again. Whatever happens happens.
  6. Well, I haven't posted here in a while, but trying to get back into the hobby again. Losing my wife last year messed with me in so many ways, but I'm trying to find joy in my old hobbies again and this was definitely one of them. Anyway, I've been checking out the models today and I do like our trend as of now. Definitely an advisory event and trending toward hopefully a WSW. Last winter was a complete dud. Not that I cared personally as I just wasn't into it, but maybe this winter will be a little better for us. Already one good event so far and the possibility of another before winter officially begins. Anyway, missed you guys and missed this page.
  7. The way this year is going, I was already considering that even before this possible storm. Lol
  8. My girlfriend lives just north of Dallas, TX. It's snowing there and they're under a winter weather advisory. I guess I'll be moving to Texas. Lol
  9. I haven't posted in here in a few months or so. It's been a really rough 3 months for me. My wife passed away from cancer recently so I've been kind of a mess over that. I would like to get back to posting here regularly again. I need to get back to my hobbies and need distractions. Anyway, it looks like we have an unsettled week coming up. Had some pretty good storms move through late last night. Hope we don't have a flooding repeat from a year ago. These wet summers are getting old.
  10. Models keep trending further away and weaker. That's why I said by the time it gets here, it'll probably be very little.
  11. By the time this "storm" actually gets here, it'll end up being a coating to an inch. Lol No thanks. I'd rather see spring at this point.
  12. Coming down pretty good now actually. I bet we can squeeze 2 or 3 inches out of this one in our area tonight.
  13. Looking at some of those heavier returns moving in from the south, I wonder if that's where sleet is starting to mix in? Flakes are getting bigger where I'm at and that's usually an indicator that mixing isn't far off.
  14. And GFS has been the best model lately. Feels weird to say that but it has.
  15. The changeover to rain is inevitable. Not a matter of if, but when. Probably a couple inches of snow at the most followed by a sloppy afternoon. We've been through this way too many times to think it'll stay all snow or even frozen.
  16. Might be the shortest advisory ever. 17. Well, it looks like the rest of this month is going to have above normal temps so I guess all we can hope for is a late winter storm at this point. By the time March gets here, I'm usually ready for spring. That never seems to happen lately since we seem to get more winter in March and April anymore.
  18. Maybe we can break last year's record and go for 60 inches of rain this year.
  19. Very rare for me. I get to see it snow while it's still daylight and I don't have to drive around it for a change.
