  1. Yes. For the most part, it's on its own. There's no way I can see that warm wedge not making it to Allegheny County like the latest NAM suggests. It almost always does in this scenario. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  2. I haven't thrown in the towel but it's in my hand ready to go. These models almost always underestimate that warm tongue. With me being on the very edge as it is, I just get the bad feeling I'm going to end up with a lot more slop than what is being modeled. I've just seen it happen so often over the years.
  3. Yeah, I would think you'd do well with this one where you're at now. You managed to get out of the screw zone known as Bethel Park. You should be rewarded for that. Lol Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  4. If anything, it looks slightly better than the 6z. I really hope there's some validity to that article about how the GFS is going to have problems during the shutdown. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  5. Euro keeps ticking north. I'd certainly take what it's still giving us but you can see it's slowly moving toward the other models. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  6. Yeah, we're going to see a little bit of everything most likely and it'll cut down on the actual snow amount. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  7. That's funny. I think most people in this thread have him on ignore so that's probably why he thinks it's so quiet. The guy has been nothing but a troublemaker over the years and not worth the time. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  8. It ticked back north a bit with the 18z so I doubt it. I've seen stranger things happen though. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  9. This wouldn't be as bad if we hadn't gotten teased by the Euro and a southern shift by some others last night. Not only does mother nature hate us, but the models like to mess with us too. Lol Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  10. Can't tell you how sick I am of rain at this point after the wettest year ever. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  11. I honestly don't think anyone here has been "wishcasting", btw. We all know by now the odds are stacked against us with storms like this. We all know how often that WTOD has ruined storms for us....especially where I'm at. I just think with the Euro giving us that great solution for several runs, it was worth taking seriously since it's usually regarded as one of the top models. We've seen it on it's own before and others cave to it. That being said, with a setup like this, it's hard to ignore history. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  12. I said a couple of days ago that if I was a betting man, I'd bet that the WTOD would get us yet again. I haven't changed that opinion, but I guess seeing the Euro hammer us has given some hope for us to cling on to. If it's starting to tick back north then that'll be it. Another slopfest. 13. That tick back north by the Euro definitely concerns me only because it's been the southern outlier up until now. I hope that isn't a sign that it's going to start caving in to the others. We'll see. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  14. Where do you guys see the 6z and 18z runs of the Euro? I can only find the normal 0z and 12z runs. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  15. Yeah, we need King Euro to be king more than ever now. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  16. We're probably lucky it's as far south as it is at this point considering the other models. Seems to be the outlier right now. Euro is usually very good at this range so hoping the others join it eventually and not the other way around. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  17. GFS has gone back north a little with its last two runs after jumping south with the 0z run last night. The Euro of course jumped south last night hammering us. Curious to see if it goes back north a little as well. Hope not. Usually the GFS eventually caves to the Euro so hoping for that. Knowing our luck, this will be the one time the opposite happens. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  18. The Euro has definitely been juicing this thing up more than the other models. Can we lock this in? Probably not. lol
  19. Need that detour sign to give it just one more nudge. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  20. This run just makes me want to move to the North Hills. Screw the South Hills. I'm done with you. Lol Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  21. For the clipper coming through, NAM appears to be all snow but the GFS is showing rain mixing in with this one too. NWS seems to be leaning toward GFS with their forecast since they are forecasting a mix of rain and snow, at least for my area. Even with a clipper, we have potential p-type issues. 22. Like it has already been mentioned, the WTOD is typically underestimated by the models. The models are already pulling it far north days in advance. I've had storms where I was forecast to get a couple inches of snow before the changeover and I ended up with about 5 or 10 minutes of snow and then a quick change to rain. I wouldn't be surprised if I get that again in my area from this one. At least some of you north of Pittsburgh might hold on to the snow longer before the changeover. 23. Yeah, I think it is. I didn't catch that post because I think I put him on ignore a long time ago. He only shows up when there's a potential storm he can cause trouble over. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  24. Yep. All you can do is laugh at this point. This has happened to us so often over the years that I stopped getting worked up about it a long time ago. It is what it is. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
