  1. Getting that heavy burst of snow now in Bethel. But yeah, going to be short lived.
  2. Yeah, I'm glad this started a little early. Give us a little daylight snow to watch. Sitting here watching the snow fall, watching the Pens game, my tree lit up. This is what it's all about! [emoji210][emoji3587]
  3. They seem to have me at around 5" right now where I'm at. I'm pretty much on the Allegheny/Washington County border. I'm a stones throw from a WSW. Lol I'd be good with that if that verifies. Would be a little more for me than last week. Sent from my SM-S931U using Tapatalk
  4. Yep. I'm up at 3am out and about. Temps keep rising and are close to 40 now where I'm at in Bethel. Just some light rain in the South Hills. Sent from my SM-S931U using Tapatalk
  5. Looks like the mixing is staying south of the border. Nice event indeed to start the season. Sent from my SM-S931U using Tapatalk
  6. Moderate to heavy snow here. Wouldn't let me post a video, so here's a pic. Sent from my SM-S931U using Tapatalk
  7. That's right, I forgot you live down that way. Move back to Bethel Park just for tonight to get away from that mixing. Lol Yeah, hopefully your elevation keeps the mix away. Would be nice if we could all see 3 or 4 inches out of this one. Sent from my SM-S931U using Tapatalk
  8. They are actually bringing up the possibility for rain mixing in for some areas south and east of here. Hoping that stays where it's at. If you look on the maps, it shows those areas with a little less snow. Sent from my SM-S931U using Tapatalk

  10. Yeah, the more I looked at them, the more I can see the precip type might actually not be an issue with this one for a change. As of now. GFS looks like it backed off of that too. I'll take a lighter event all snow over a potentially heavier event, but you're sweating it out about the warm air pushing in. Sent from my SM-S931U using Tapatalk
  11. We've learned over the years that the models almost always underdo that "WTOD" and we're on the edge right now. Sent from my SM-S931U using Tapatalk
  12. I don't know how this next system is going to turn out for us, but at least we already have something to track. GFS gives the weenie amounts while Euro gives us little. Others are somewhere in between the two. Should be interesting to see how this one evolves. I'm also just trying to get the page more active again. Lol Sent from my SM-S931U using Tapatalk
  13. I'll add the latest Euro for roughly the same time frame. Much less weenie but still a nice amount to look at. Sent from my SM-S931U using Tapatalk
  14. As long as Bob Nutting doesn't control the weather, maybe he have a shot. Sent from my SM-S931U using Tapatalk
  15. And, so far, the models seemed to be right. Had a hole over the Pittsburgh area, and looking at the radar, that's where it is. Lol Sent from my SM-S931U using Tapatalk
  16. Just wanted to share this with you guys since the weather hasn't been all that active here except for the occasional storm. We do have a nasty hurricane out in the Atlantic, but it's going to mostly be a fish, with some wind impact on the east coast, but nothing here. Anyway, being the weather nerd that I've always been, even as a kid, I had a watch as a kid that had a thermometer in it. It was a Casio watch from the 80s. I loved that watch. I felt like I had a little weather station on my wrist. It was way ahead of it's time back then. Well, I found this baby on Ebay in great shape and for a pretty reasonable price. Works great. I feel like a kid again. Lol OK, back to weather talk. Lol Sent from my SM-S931U using Tapatalk
  17. I haven't really had anything severe since Tuesday and even that storm was just wind for me. Unfortunately, just enough to knock my power out for a day. But, I'm fine with this. That was no fun. And I was one of the lucky ones to get it back in a day. Sent from my SM-S931U using Tapatalk
  18. My power came back on around 4 today. Hopefully tomorrow's round isn't as bad as this was, at least wind wise. People are still without power but it's thankfully dwindling down. They got a lot of help from neighboring states with this. Otherwise, some of us may have been out for days.
  19. I still don't have power as of now in Bethel. Sent from my SM-S931U using Tapatalk
  20. God I hope not. Hate to have to throw all of that food away. Sent from my SM-S931U using Tapatalk
  21. I think the line did weaken some as far as the precip goes. But still very high winds, especially when it first hit. Enough to knock my power out. Sent from my SM-S931U using Tapatalk
  22. My power just went out. Very high winds. Sent from my SM-S931U using Tapatalk
  23. If this holds together, about to get ugly here. Sent from my SM-S931U using Tapatalk
  24. Getting some hail with this line. Sent from my SM-S931U using Tapatalk
  25. I'm definitely in spring mode now. Hard to believe the anniversary of the blizzard of 93 is coming up. That was 32 years ago! I was still in high school and now I'm turning 50 this year. Lol Sent from my SM-S931U using Tapatalk
