  3. Got nailed in Bethel Park again. Some flooding. Not as bad as a few weeks ago from what I see so far. These storms had more wind and a lot of trees down. Power outages. Haven't been out to check anything out yet. I live right near the Trolley Stop. I'm sure they got nervous all over again there.
  4. Route 88 is a river right in front of South Park Shops. There are some vehicles stuck.
  5. Bethel Park is really bad right now. Power outages and flooding everywhere.

  7. About the same where I was at, but I was near Wal-Mart at the time. Of course, the radar showed a nice blotch of red go right over my apartment, but I wasn't there at the time to witness it. Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk
  8. Yeah, it's getting dark rather quick here. Lots of lightning and thunder. The heaviest of it could dip just south of me but it's close. Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk
  9. Painters Run Road is really bad. That creek has overflowed its banks and there are rock and mud slides from the hills. I got caught in it coming home. Avoid that road. I probably should have turned around but got through it. Just caught me off guard. Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk
  10. All we can do is laugh at this point. Like being a Browns fan. Lol Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk
  11. When WE need a west shift, it NEVER happens. Yet, those to our east and even southeast, that seem to routinely get big storms every winter anymore, have things fall into place perfectly for them. It's amazing. I guess I need to move to Williamsburg, VA if I want to see a big snowstorm now. I go there once a year on vacation, may as well just move there.
  12. Well, I guess I should move down to Williamsburg or Virginia Beach if I want to see a good snowstorm. I go down there once a year for vacation anyway. May as well just stay down there next time. Lol Sent from my SM-G920P using Tapatalk
  13. Yeah, I'm the same way. I'm sick of the nickel and dime snows we get in Pittsburgh while almost always missing the big storms. The people closest to the coast cash in a lot more on the big snowstorms than we ever will. They get a lot less snow overall for a winter season than we do, but that's just because all of our nickel and dimers add up little by little. I'd rather get one huge storm and see nothing the rest of the winter. Nuisance snows don't do much for me. They're just a nuisance and end up leave you wanting more. 14. Well, now that we're done with the last storm which fringed us to the north and west, let's enjoying tracking our next storm which will fringe us to the south and east again like the January storm. Back and forth we go.
  15. We sure are overdue for a big storm. Seeing Boston get hammered makes me wish we could get just one of these to track well for us. Of course, it helps when you have an ocean nearby. Stick a low out there and you can get buried. Boston has picked up 64.4" the last two weeks alone. I think that would be our 6th highest total ever for an entire season.
  16. Sounds about right. The January, 1994 storm is still my all time favorite. I think I was in the absolute perfect location for that one. I lived in southwestern Westmoreland County at the time. I picked up 27 inches from that storm and most of it fell during the day. What made it even more great was we got hammered while the big cities to the east mainly got rain. That storm couldn't have tracked any more perfect, at least for where I was at.
  17. You know it's been a bad winter snow wise when the complaint thread is getting more posts than the actual weather thread.
  18. You're absolutely right. I just lost my Father-in-law a month ago, who I was very close to, so I know how your world can be turned upside down. I'm sorry this happened to your friend. Hang in there and be there for him.
  19. A word of advice for Disco Dan. Making guarantees just makes you look foolish when you don't deliver. Not bashing, just making a point considering what happened today. Sent from my XT897
  20. Right now, the Pens remind me of the Washington Capitals under Boudreau. Great regular seasons and then flame out in the playoffs. Boudreau eventually got fired despite those great regular seasons. I don't know if Mario and Burkle will fire Bylsma at some point if this continues. They did fire Therrien the season after we were in the Cup Finals and the team sunk to 10th place in the conference. If they flame out again in the playoffs as a one seed then something will have to be done. You have to give Bylsma credit at the same time considering all of the injuries this team has had to deal with and yet still being at the top of the standings. I'm not just going to completely bash him. He has his strong points and weak points as a coach. Unfortunately. the weak points have shown up the past few years in the playoffs eventually getting outcoached in a series. Let's see what happens in the playoffs this time around.
  21. Almost happened to me this morning when leaving for work. It was 40° out and it was still very icy.
  22. Geno can be very fragile mentally. You see it in games all the time. When things aren't going well, he loses his cool and takes stupid penalties. Easy to get under his skin sometimes.
