  1. In my utopian society, they would. It would be just like dunkin donuts...I’d even have a drive thru for the ultimate quickie.
  2. The problem in America and the world...when religion is too involved in policy.
  3. What about legal hookers? Oh nevermind...if you have a camera, that makes it legal (Family Guy episode).
  4. Yea True but they do follow/correlate to the state. It’s not like in CT there is town that has a super low mill rate but if the towns get some state funding from new revenue, they could? The point is, in general, tax the extra curricular activities more (especially those that are currently illegal) and lessen the tax burden on essential needs.
  5. States could give homeowners a break by slashing our property taxes while making up the ground with legalized drugs, sports betting, and prostitution. More tax revenue and a lower prison population. Basically, don’t tax the family man trying to live the American dream...tax the ‘activities’ instead.
  6. If they simply did not test, they would not have cases, and if there are no cases...they would not have to shut down. It’s not that hard.
  7. Check your netflix acct to see if he created his own profile.
  8. Socialism is evil and is un-american. If you want the government to give you snow gun handouts, go ask Canada.
  9. A career altering type of injury. Shame...cuz he’s a great dude.
  10. Can’t eat or smoke a little thc but you can walk around strapped and drunk.
  11. Sounds like a lot of (headbanging) noise to me, no rythym no soul no feel good vibes. To each is own though.
  12. It reacted negatively today just from the news. We do wish our fella (no matter how flawed he his) a speedy recovery.
  13. He’ll be fine and show the world it’s NBD just in time for the election.
  14. They won’t beat the Rays which is laughable considering the payroll differential. Money isn’t errthing.
  15. That’s great but the problem is that type/amount of testing is rare in the private sector. My company hasn’t tested anyone upon our return. We’re at 50% capacity, I believe, on a rotational basis with just masks and social distancing guidelines. When asked why were weren’t being tested once a week, they didn’t have an answer besides stating that testing isn’t perfect. But somehow signing a sheet upon arrival every morning that you feel healthy is? This goes back to America not being on the same page. We don’t have a cohesive plan...practically kicking the proverbial covid can down the road as we see fit.
  16. No thanks to you...the person who started the thread.
  17. Oh. I didn’t think you were hinting at superior morality. This is simply my theory/opinion given the current state of affairs. While it is in our nature to prolong our lives and keep ourselves as young for as long as possible (as you say, what humans have done for centuries)...the motive, thesedays, is more about the money then at any other point in human history. There is too much cash at stake to cure this disease or reduce the impact of that disease, the first to a covid vaccine, etc. A family member works for a big consulting firm who consulted a big pharma corp with how to market opiates. They knew the danger of addiction and death but it was all about the bottom line. That’s just one example and maybe that has skewed my opinion but I’ve read more reports/articles indicating how the medical industry is a profit machine first and foremost. The well-being of society is secondary, sadly.
  18. We don’t keep people alive longer or cure diseases better because we are morally superior then previous generations... we do so because there are billions at stake, billions to be made.
  19. Plus the below study indicates, on average, ‘victims’ life expectancy was cut short by 11 years and not the ‘would have died this year anyway’ political BS that some like to throw around. But, as always, agendas lead some to disregard science or data while cherry picking misinformation to support their thinking. I’m sure there is info out there that supports the ‘would have died soon anyway’ theory so there is no way for most to change their opinions. The line in the sand has been drawn. https://www.pnas.org/content/117/36/22035
  20. But...we were told that this ‘hardly affects anyone’.
  21. Hmm..didn’t think about that but I’ll look into it. You have to be a good to great putter, or at least get hot, to win at Augusta. Wolff’s weakness is probably his putter but it’s gotten better so maybe I’ll let that bet ride. I’m a sucker for longshot big payouts.
