    This morning was not the best flake size/ratio here otherwise it would have been a good amount more. No biggie as there are several inches on the ground and trees around here. Very wintery

    Got a 1" this morning of sugar like snow with a little fluff at the end. Pick up another 1" or so of pure fluff this afternoon. Nice couple inches. Looks like another 1-2" tonight/morning. Nothing too exciting but always great having lots of flakes of snow in the air

    Understood. Many time people will send me CMX reports and I am like but what did Houghton get . I know in town the houses are very close (both Houghton/Hancock) so measurements are best around SDC (trials) or in Hancock hills like your friend.

    Trust me I know that photo well!! I didn't even need to look at your location. Where did you get your measurement from or did you measure it? Just wondering if that was an in-town measurement.

    I will gladly admit to being a sicko then!! I don't mind below zero weather (likely because I do winter sports). Having the right clothing is everything. Was outside for several hours yesterday. Walked the dog 5 miles this morning. Not about to move Fairbanks as I love our humid summers here. But if had to choose between Las Vegas, Phoenix or Fairbanks; easy choice Fairbanks hands down!!

    Yeah that yellow area needs to be expanded westward some. I am just not home enough to do the measurements as a spotter.

    Tonight is going to be possibly fun. LES enhanced event forecast with 1-4" in the forecast with WWA.

    I am exhausted between shoveling and snowblowing. That stuff was crazy heavy. It compacted with the few hours above freezing. It's definitely a dense snow pack. Great part is a good amount did not melt off the trees. With today LES here it looks like the heart of winter weather.

    6" from the storm yesterday. 3" of backlash & LES so far today. Hopefully more coming from Lake Michigan.

    Wow this band this morning is intense.

    Crazy storm. I will not complain with the results. Several hours of heavy snow. Man it is wet and thick. I recall a few storms thick like this in the 80s. Wish temps would have held below freezing after it ended but currently it is dripping and compacting. Probably a good thing though to lose some before those winds kick back up. Now into backlash snows, LES and arctic temps.

    Hopefully they can get it repaired soon. Not counting on it though with the winds howling away

    Trust me I am thinking about the LES. I really hope the LES bands set up right. Could be big considering the cold temps and very mild Lake MI.
