  1. Takes too long to say "Wine and Spirits Shoppes". It's still the state store! Most of the heavy stuff is off to the west so far but the low is still down off the coast of NC, probably tearing up the beaches down there.
  2. I hear ya! Had to do that role too although fortunately my mom was just a couple miles away (she passed away a few years ago). What is also good about that program is that it has an option to display any LSRs so you can see what types of hazards are being reported in various locations (including amount of rain/snow/ice, street flooding, trees down, severe winds causing damage, etc). Hoping we won't have that type of damage.
  3. Getting some raindrops now... Scattered but there. Temp up to 73.
  4. They open @ 9 and I was there at like 9:25.
  5. That is from GRLevel 3 (v2) - http://www.grlevelx.com/grlevel3_2/ It's a pay product but it is pretty cool. It polls data from all the major radar sites (selectable) and you can play around with various displays, etc. It's primarily a radar product.
  6. Had a high of 85 yesterday and a low of 64 this morning. Currently 72 & overcast after a pretty red/multi-color sunrise. A lot of hype going with this as I popped by the state store this morning and the cashier guy was even talking about it. Trying to get whatever "outside" stuff I needed to get done, done (getting some plants in), so I can cocoon. You can clearly see it coming up from the south -
  7. I thought it was my imagination hearing what I thought was a single katydid as well last evening (although each chirp was far apart). It joined the single cricket I've heard nightly the past week, that accompanied the single "Northern Dusk-singing cicada" that I only hear after 7 pm, which heralds the appearance of my single lightning bug! Had a high of 84 yesterday with low humidity and a nice breeze. Have a cool start this morning at 62.
  8. Looks like that was the end of that. Sun coming out and caught a little bit of a fading rainbow to the east. Ended up with 0.59" which may be my final unless anything else forms with the front. Current temp 72.
  9. Yeah it kindof diffused away here too and am just getting light rain now. Currently at 0.53". Temp down to 72.
  10. Yeah I have been in between the 2 segments. Up to 0.50" with light rain. Edit to add rainfall map for the event so far -
  11. Some of that southern band is starting to approach. Up to 0.48" so far with moderate rain. Temp down to 75.
  12. Seems there is a wide segment west of here that has been sitting over central Chester County training, with a piece o fit up into northwestern Montco (near Pottstown that has reported flooding). The other segment north of Philly is moving faster. Currently under some drizzle with some nasty-looking stuff out to the west. Temp is down to 76. Just heard a loud thunderclap but so far, it's a lot of sound and fury but only 0.28" of rain so far. Edit to add - heavier rain just started up again. Looks like I'm gonna get hit with that northern segment (am at the southern end of it).
  13. Dp shot up to 79 and the windows are steaming up. Was under a heavier blip for awhile. Currently at 0.27" since it started. Temp down to 83. I think that was just the appetizer.
  14. Getting rain now and hearing thunder. So far it's typical summer showery type rain and not gully washer yet. My sis in Delco said she got heavy rain that dropped her temp 20 degrees within the past 20 minutes. Temp down to 90 so far and falling. Edit to add the intensity has picked up now. Am under a tiny blob ahead of the main line.
  15. Up to 93 and yucky out. It is all kind of unstable out there and the storm clouds are rolling in. The line looks pretty solid out west so far -
  16. Hit 94 as a high yesterday and this morning's low was 76, which is pretty mild. Currently 79 and party cloudy.
  17. Just hit 90 with ~55% humidity so not as bad as earlier this morning but still... High made it up to 82 yesterday and the low this morning was 71, with the windows steamed up.
  18. Sun out and temp up to 79. May end up hitting the low - mid 80s by evening, although there is a broken cloud deck to the south and west with sun peeping in and out... but we'll see!
  19. Looks like I'm pretty much done. Ended up with 0.74" from the MCS. Currently overcast and 72 and a steambath out there now.
  20. Just hit the 0.52" mark and rising. The rain is a bit lighter but still steady. Temp is down to 69. I got a text about an hour ago from my Delco sis confused about the rain as they were leaving to go down to Ocean City, NJ. Told her about what was on the radar. lol Don't know if this is going to push all the way down there but the thing doesn't seem to be dissipating. Mt Holly added an update to the AFD - && .NEAR TERM /UNTIL 6 PM THIS EVENING/... 1130 AM...The convective complex over our area is generating its own weather and not cooperating with the foreast. The broken line of t-storms extends from vcnty PHL southwest into northeast MD and is propagating southeast, however stratiform rain extends well north and east across eastern PA and central NJ. The associated cold pool has temps in the upper 60s and a center of pressure rises over eastern PA. Additional significant changes to the forecast will likely be needed.
  21. Rain has picked up significantly now in the past couple minutes here. Getting over 1/2" per hour rates and currently up to 0.20" and rising. Temp is down to 71.
  22. I just heard the same thunder and just starting to get some light rain. Temp is down to 74.
  23. Getting a few splats here and there so far. Pretty soupy out too. Had deep watered yesterday in anticipation of the heat but will take some more if that means I won't have to get out there if the temps make it to the 90s early next week before the progged rain. Temp down to 76 with dews rising.
  24. Had a high of 89 yesterday and a warm low of 71 this morning. Currently 78 and has been overcast all morning. This incoming stuff is interesting... lol
  25. Had a high of 85 yesterday and 87 today, with this morning low being 63... Currently 85 and mostly sunny. As for 90s - had 2 in May, 4 in June, and 6 so far in July, for a total of 12 for the season to date.
