Well so far I hit 99.5 so will round up to 100. Right now I,'m at 97 with dp 80. Back in 1992, I took a trip to Egypt (which included a multi-day Nile cruise.) This was near the end of July and our final destination before flying back to Cairo, was Abu Simbel, which is about 20 miles north of Sudan. So we are talking the Sahara desert. Temp was 125F. The difference was that the humidity was typically 10% or so (it's more humid around Cairo). That was brutal though and was like your skin was burning. A bunch of folks in our group got heat sickness, but at least it didn't have the humidity like this! -

My high was officially 100.0" yesterday at 2:41 pm after a 78 low at 5:44 am. Today a whole other story with an 82 low just before 6 am. I was already at 92 before 9 am. It's currently 97 with a dp of 82 (feels like of 122). -

My dentist had season tickets and gave me a pair for a 4 pm mid-July 2001 Phillies/Yankees interleague game at the Vet. His seats were literally on the 3rd row to the right of home plate. The weather was perfect that day - warm and no humidity - truly lucked out with that. Had to leave "early" when the game went to extra innings since it was during a weekday. Just hit 100 IMBY. -

Fake artificial grass. That's why there was so much slipping and sliding on it when wet, often causing some nasty injuries. And other suspected bad outcomes for some Phillies too - https://www.fox29.com/news/investigative-report-dangerous-chemicals-pfas-veterans-stadium-turf The Linc & CBP have the real thing! On the weather front, I hit 99. will see if I get to triple digits later this afternoon . -

Looks like after multiple attempts to go higher, I pretty much hit 95 as a high for today. Since I only reached 89 for a high yesterday, today starts my heatwave clock. Currently HHH with a bit of a breeze and 93, with a ridiculous dp of 80 (weather station has a "feels like" of 112). -

Welcome! I was born and raised in Mt. Airy but what I remember about '77 was the glacial winter, with sheets of ice formed after endless melting and refreezing. The winter of '78-'79 (my senior year in high school) broke a long time snow drought, and after the biggest storm, my sisters and I built a good-sized snowman on the front lawn, and we ended up getting "tourists" stopping or slowing to take pics. Currently sunny and 80 with dp a juicy 73. -

Got another hundredth of an inch yesterday for a 0.24" final and 2.80" 2-day event total. My high was 71 after a low of 64, and the drier air is trickling in. Currently a sunny 70 with dp 61. I've been following that Limerick site one as I figured exactly why the location was picked. I remember my senior high school physics class taking a field trip to Limerick back in 1979 while the plant was still under construction. I think the cooling towers had recently been completed. The PECO tour guide told us that once the plant came online, the average electric bill would drop to $3/month. -

I did ultimately finish up with 2.56" for day 1, mostly due to getting under several cells. Made it up to 86 for a high after a 67 low, before the rain knocked that down. With today's light overrunning precip., I have picked up 0.23" so far for a 2-day total o 2.79" and monthly total of 6.15". Despite that, I heard on the radio yesterday that we are still experiencing drought conditions here in the city (below as of the last update) - Currently light rain and 66 with dp 66. -
