Just had my first power flash

Up to about 2.7” so far in my part of Canton

I work for the power company and that’s been my main concern. I got noticeable sagging here in Canton. I’ll go out and take a measurement when I can. If any rain falls that would help the situation drastically that way the trees only have to deal with wind stress. Also the transition from Monroe to central/northern Wayne county was pretty nuts to experience drive wise. Been poor visibility a 1/4 mile since I arrived back in the area.

Was a rain snow mix in Carlton off 275 and got worse as I got into Canton. Became a heavy snow just south of the airport.

Underneath the heavy returns now over in Carlton where I’m working. Nothing right now but I know that will change fast Edit: sprinkles starting now as we speak

It’s looking a bit better for us. Praying it stays east of M39 so we get more snow.

Winds are increasing at a good rate right now. Just in the last 45 mins being outside for work I feel they went up 10mph.

Still trended about 4-5 lower than yesterday. I’ll feel comfy if it can lower a couple more. Hoping for that east shift by 20-30 miles would make all the difference

That’s what it’s looking like. The change over window got a bit smaller. Now only calling for it to get up to 38-39 for an hour before dropping again as it occludes. 12 hours ago was looking like a rise to 42-43 for a couple hours. All I care about is the snow not washing away so it can look like winter next week.

That run a a little better for the I275 corridor and points east in DTW area

I was 4 when my grandma had the weather channel on and they had the live coverage of the Moore F5 from 5/3/99. Been hooked since. For the DTW area I’m concerned if enough accumulation happens those winds are gonna do a number on our trees. So many around here have stress fractures from last years storms.

Yeah early week did not turn out well at all. Would nighttime have a good effect on the cooling? Find it hard to believe that we will be pushing 40-42 at midnight 1am.
