    When we both return to work , my mom , her parents and her brothers all live in Brooklyn about 20 minutes away. Thank god we have them near us because like you said , day care is expensive and I dont trust them.

    For the first 5 years , I took alot of my overtime in time . Now I usually just take cash or split the overtime. It should be months, not weeks. Its not easy raising a baby with a full time job. My wife told me to quit my job to be a stay home dad. ( I think she was joking )

    You are correct Alot of my co workers only took a week or two because they didnt have alot of time. I didnt want my wife to do all the work. Also she had a rough pregnancy. 30 hours in labor and then emergency C section with her and the baby heart rate dropping . I still have to give her injections for low iron and low blood because of blood loss during pregnancy.

    Tracking the blizzard while feeding my kid and staying up all night was awesome. I showed him all the models .

    My wife already asked me if I want to have summer or winter off next year lol I used FMLA and used PTO. I had a choice though. FMLA for men was just created a few years ago.

    New York State has Family Medical Leave Act where you can take up to 12 weeks for males bonding with kid and females who gave birth along with other medical reasons. Just have to fill out paperwork and I had to mail them my son's birth certificate. I had 750 hours of PTO so im using at least 500. You have a choice of using that to get paid or just that 12 weeks of unpaid leave . My wife is already thinking about another kid so I have to start doing overtime again. There is another leave caller Family Leave Act where you can take up to 12 weeks and don't have to use time and get paid half your pay check.

    Long range on the models are showing wetter and cooler conditions to end April into early May. Quite possible the heat returns when blocking breaks down.
