  1. I got more snow with the little system on Saturday than i did with the bigger one last night. 2.2 inches last night 15.6 for the winter
  2. There were some signs of this under performing for parts of the NYC area. 1.The mixing line was racing northward faster than most models had it 2. Marginal situations are terrible for the south shores of the NYC area 3. No cold high to the north which is needed for our area since we live near the water. 4. 850s weren't favorable at all I have 15.6 inches for the winter
  3. This would have been a bigger snowstorm if there was a nice high to the north or the storm bombed out.
  4. Wow congrats guys Some impressive totals in SNE Looks like a lot of areas are near average now with this snowstorm
  5. I measured the same before I went to sleep at midnight.
  6. The warmth was too strong here in NYC and also Philly. Boston has to be around 7-10 inches by now.
  7. The worst bust was March 2001. Closed schools for 5 inches after 2-3 feet was forecasted.
  8. I live in Brooklyn which is the south shore of the NYC area near the water. The water influence is a killer here. I do get lucky once in a while during big coastal storms but I usually get screwed with sleet and ice. Same here Forecasted 6-9 inches. Received over 2 inches.
  9. Yes it was It sucks because this is the last storm of the season and it was a bust. We did get into the heavy rates but it was sleet here. Northern sections of the area got more snow but nothing like what Upton predicted. The warming was too strong to overcome. We need 850s below freezing and temps near freezing in order for the coasties to win. They use to do that all the time back in the day. I remember waking up early to see if school was closed. How much did you measure in Sheepshead ? Looks like 2 inches.
  10. Same here The banding was great last night but it was sleet here. We would have seen alot more snow if temps were slightly colder. The 850s were too close to the coast last night. The only model that showed the warmth nearby was the 3k Nam.
  11. I don't even think I got 3 inches lol The storm the other morning looked more impressive than last night lol The warmth was too strong for the coast. 850s were warmer than modeled and it never went below freezing here on the coast. SNE is getting hammered
  12. It was a bust for the majority of the NYC area and LI.
  13. Wow nice guys We got screwed down here in NYC
  14. Around 2 inches here in Brooklyn Sleet and snow continues Night
  15. Mayor here in NYC closed schools and I only have an inch on the ground lol
  16. Sleeting here in south shore of NYC I hate living near the water. I have just over an inch here. Going to bed now. Hopefully I wake up to a winter wonderland. Night everyone
