    Gfs shows a really cold pattern the week before Christmas. The lake effect should start cracking if this is true.

    This storm could have been a good one for us if there was cold air already in place or if the storm bomb out near SNJ. The low track and the strength is really good for our area but the airmass sucks.

    The pattern has been awful for the lakes region. Last winter and for the foreseeable future will be great for NNE. Maine has been cashing in big time. I hope something gives because having only 2 inches the whole winter last year in NYC sucked.

    Different outputs have different snow totals

    That map seems way overdone especially near the SNE coast. Maybe the heavy precip can overcome the boundary layer but you would need to be in the interior for this.
