It’s official, Santa visited KMJS last night and the kids couldn’t be happier. Man, few things in this world more magical than the excitement of a child on Xmas morning. Low of 32 and half the backyard still has a smattering of snow. It doesn’t get any better than this. Now let’s find some storms to track. Merry Christmas to all you crazy weather cats!

Low of 20 and currently sitting at 25/23 with the finest of pixie dust falling, if that. Looks mostly dried up here after .1” of snow. Busy day of hosting family. Time to start making breakfast casseroles and squeezing oranges.

I’m already down to 16 here. Last night’s low was 12. Friday’s snowfall totaled 1.1” off of .17” liquid. Penn State women’s volleyball national champs!

Quite drunk, yes quite. Of course the kids are already up this morning waking up everyone in the house (we stayed the night at my aunt and uncles place). Now have a one year old birthday party to attend this afternoon. No rest for the weary!

I’m somehow still awake at a family holiday gathering in Northumberland. Let’s just say it’s been a long day ha. Big bounce back by the B10 today. Also solid snowpack up here. They’ll have a white Xmas for sure. I love everything, mainly penn state and snowpacks, but also everything. My uncle keeps feeding me Labatts, so there’s that.

Aaaahhhhh lets goooo!!! Hey, sometimes you win games in different ways. SMU wasnt built for those conditions. Few of us are. Let me tell you fellas, it was brutal out there. Brutal. This morning the winds started ripping right away, along with a couple periods of light snow. It was awesome tailgating on the hard snowpack. So proud of the fan base. Stadium wasnt empty at all and that was one of the loudest and most committed crowds Ive been a part of from start to finish. Crowd was jacked and really threw SMU off their game from the jump. Awesome showing by the fans in harsh conditions. Man this is fun. Lets do it again in Arizona.

Rise and shine boys. We’ve got a game to win! 24 degrees here in Park Forest Village just outside of state college. Temp is expected to remain fairly steady through the day. I’ve got my layers on. It’s go time.

Safely in Happy Valley. Once I got to Juniata/Mifflin counties things were bone dry. About an inch on the ground here in state college with a good bit more on top of Seven Mountains. Roads were totally fine the whole way, even up over the high points. Tailgating begins in T minus 12 hours. Glad to hear it’s still snowing at home!

Just an awesome scene here. Been snowing good for a while now. All surfaces except roads covered. I'm about to head out for State College here in a few minutes. The cameras actually look way better up that way, in terms of not having snow. It appears we are making out better than them, with the coastal influence providing a nice little bounce for us easterners. This goes down as a win in my book. I'll check in from Happy Valley later tonight. Cheers gents!

Frosted tips and covered patio tables are officially underway here in West Hempfield. Snow has noticeably picked up in intensity.

A very light beautiful snowfall has broken out here. My drive to Penn State later today could get a wee bit dicey up over Seven Mountains.

Low of 30. Currently sitting at 33/28. Should be a fun little day across the Commonwealth.

And they do it! What a gutty effort by the lady lions! Hopefully a good omen for the weekend. Okay, I’ll go to bed now.

Anyone else up watching Penn State battle back from down two sets to none in the womens volleyball final four to take it to a fifth set? Spot in the national championship against Louisville on the line. High drama!

Yeah that’s about where I’m at, thinking ~100k. It’s those damn upper levels of the student section that look problematic. They went with a reduced student allotment and it may have backfired. Who knows, now that tickets are like $40-50 maybe they’ll get scooped up last minute. Either way, it should be a raucous crowd. Edit: I should say, as raucous as a noon game in frigid temps can get ha.

Stop. Even if it’s “empty” there will still be more people in the ‘Beav than any city in Pennsylvania outside of Philly or Pitt.
