  1. An absolute travesty that he’s not in the Hall. A hill I will die on. R.I.P. to the Hit King
  2. Funny you mention this, my wife recently hooked up an extra TV we have in our garage (primarily to get rid of me on occasion when Penn State or Green Bay play ha) and I was out there on Saturday watching some pigskin when sure enough, I hear a couple of crickets singing their incessant tunes.
  3. Low of 60 with .41" of rainfall, making for 2.38" over the last nine days. Count me among those who were surprised at how bountiful and overcast this stretch has been. One day we'll see the sun again, one day. Thursday maybe seems like the ticket. Man, the grass will go ballistic when that day comes.
  4. Low of 62 with .02” of rain. Penn State was a bit frustrating to watch but ultimately did what they had to do. Same problems persist in that the passing game just isn’t good enough to win at an elite level. Bama Georgia was absolutely drunk.
  5. I wonder if this is why my P&C forecast keeps looking infinitely worse ha
  6. Indeed, these warm overnight lows here towards the end of the month are going to ruin our BN month, probably end up about a half degree AN now. Low of 68 here with .37" of additional rainfall, up to 1.8" since Saturday. Anyone come across any cool clips from the hurricane? I haven't seen much. I guess landfalling across a very rural area didn't hurt?
  7. They've had their moments over the years but certainly aren't known as one of the powerhouse wrestling schools out that way.
  8. Low of 66 with .34” of fresh rainfall. Between temps and rain things are really greening up again.
  9. No. Left Bethel around lunch time locally on Sunday and had a bit of a layover in Anchorage. Overnight flight from Seattle to Detroit, where I got maybe two hours of crappy plane sleep. When all was said and done, got into Philly ~8am eastern. Then of course have to commute home from PHL. Always brutal traveling west to east. I'm pooped, but nothing compared to what you've been dealing with. Good luck with your recovery pal.
  10. Rainfall totals while I was gone..... Saturday night: .38" and wife says it was quite the storm, with power being lost for a bit. Monday: .68" of an all-day soaking kind of rain. Was not expecting that much but also hadn't been keeping up with any local forecasts. Glad to be back from Bethel, where they are rapidly losing daylight and the winter winds are starting to howl. Man, these little outpost towns scattered across the Alaskan frontier are something else. Just a completely different way of life. You really do feel like you're in another world. A lot of things that matter here just......don't there, and vice versa. Hard to explain, but as my buddy who lives there always says, "Bethel isn't a real place" ha. Feeling quite jet-lagged as I sit here in Harrisburg. Onward.
  11. Damn sorry to hear that JNS. Scary stuff. Glad to hear you are okay.
  12. Just landed in PHL. My body clock is all kinds of confused. Thick blanket of clouds the whole way from Detroit to Philly.
  13. Safely in Seattle and not sober. Let’s just say the mini bottles were flowing freely. Next stop: red-eye to Detroit uuugghhh.
  14. Departing Bethel in a couple hours to begin the long trek back home. We hit 33 last night and were not able to see any northern lights.
  15. Thought you all would like this pic I took of Mt. Rainier from the plane yesterday….
  16. Checking in from Bethel, AK where we had a frosty overnight low of 29. Hoping to see some northern lights tonight.
  17. Just landed in Anchorage, where it’s 50 and mostly cloudy. Next stop: Bethel, the true last frontier.
  18. Safely in Seattle where you’ll be shocked to learn it’s 55 and cloudy. Next stop: Anchorage.
