  1. I don't think you'll have too much to worry about haha. Pack really struggling to find themselves on offense. Not ready to throw the towel in just yet on Love but leaning towards Green Bay being in the quarterback sweepstakes ugh.
  2. Looks like quite a few reports of 4-5" out in the NW part of the state. Very nice. So, MDT ended the month at 59.0 (T-12th all time), a good bit lower than the 59.7 I predicted, due to it staying much cooler than the surrounding locales during the heat at the end of last week (not something we can say often ha). They also ended up with only 1.69" of rain, whereas I had 2.9" at my house. We should be in for a near-double digit negative departure for the first few days this month and then things moderate after that. Carry on.
  3. Low of 32 here with some light frost through the rurals. Tonight should be my first hard freeze. Congrats to those who saw their first white!
  4. Only about 75ish kids here, a far cry from our previous neighborhood where we got hundreds. Was kind of a nice low key night though, and one of the neighbors hosted a party where the adults had their own fun so all in all a great night!
  5. Actually got down to 35 here this morning, happened well after I left the house. To all those with youngins, happy Trick or Treating!
  6. 39 when I left the house and .02” of additional rain yesterday. Brisk trick or treat night on tap. Time to board the choo choo.
  7. I have not moved off of 53, ‘tis my high and low since midnight, to go along with .18” of total precip. Bring on the cold.
  8. Seems damn near a given at this point, I would think. I’m still stuck at 55.
  9. Sitting at 69 here which is my high for the day, and yes I can report an accurate daytime temp because I've been under cloud cover all day haha. Had some stuff on the radar overhead but no actual drops fell. About to sneak in what may be my last mow of the year.
  10. I've been keeping an eye on this as well. Subtle differences making for huge shifts in the forecast. As always, will be interesting to see who wins the model wars.
  11. Get off my train. But seriously, where you heading? And yes, there is nothing they love more than having one car be an ice box and the next a sauna.
  12. You are one of the true, the proud, the diehards. College football is my one sport where I'm probably closest to remaining a diehard, although even they have done their best to turn me off in recent years with the loss of regional rivalries and insane conference realignment. Allow me to summarize my sports fandom levels, not that anyone asked ha.... NHL - Don't follow and have never had a team, but do enjoy a good playoff hockey game. NBA - Used to be a fan but not anymore, for too many reasons to list here. Will still occasionally tune in to a playoff game. MLB - Used to be a diehard but now a casual, as discussed above. NFL - Have always been a solid fan, while occasionally bickering about rules changes ha. NCAA football - Diehard. Can't get enough of it, while noting the caveat outlined above. NCAA basketball - What players are playing for which teams again? Just get to March already. NCAA olympic sports - Love me some college wrestling and volleyball, as well as a couple other small-time sports. Some of the purest competition you can get.
  13. I give the people what they want. Mr. Historic District is no exception. I'm with Blizz on this one. I think the majority of sports fans primarily follow their team and tune out otherwise. The only sport that transcends this is football. I know loads of Phillies fans and I can't name a one of them that will be watching this series. I love the game as well (played it much of my life), and used to consider myself a diehard, but now more of a casual. I'm not sure why but the game just hasn't felt the same to me since my younger years. Not sure if it's the over-reliance on analytics and the all or nothing approach that has become so common at the plate but something just rings hollow with me. I also feel less of a connection with the players these days. Although I do mostly love the new rules changes. With the two little ones and a wife who would rather do anything than watch sports, I'll probably only get to tune in to the series for a few fleeting moments. Outside of Penn State games and Green Bay games, I get very few claims to the TV these days haha.
  14. Low of 54 here. Peter Sinks back in a big way with the national low of -17 (believe that's the first negative reading this season?). I think parts of PA see their first snowfall Tuesday night into Wednesday. #WinterIsComing
  15. Soon they'll be experiencing the opposite, where colder air is moderated by flowing over the relatively warmer river waters.
  16. Not much wind but what little there is seems to be flowing off the water. I reckon that's the culprit for MDT.
  17. Sounds like you've got it all buttoned-up buuuuut you did ask for verification from others, which seemed to imply your own skepticism. Hey, who am I to question anyone's reading when I can't even report a daily high because my wife has a giant black pergola covering too close to my station haha. Which, by the way, is coming off soon! Hopefully this weekend, and if my theory is correct, I'll be able to report accurate daytime highs. We shall see. I know you're all waiting on the edge of your seats for my update.
  18. Checked a bunch of WU stations around my area at varying elevations and, no, they all showed steady consistent drops through those hours and beyond. Get your equipment checked Training, and no this isn't your wife talking
