  1. This is what I'll be keeping an eye on in the days to come. As you say, some depictions have a classic Miller B central PA dry slot developing. Certainly a plausible outcome, although at this time I'm still optimistic we get some goods. I'll be very curious to see how this trends in the days ahead. Also, the lake effect machine really gets ramped up again with another prolonged event. Fun winter times forthcoming.
  2. 34 when I left the house. Exciting times ahead, mayhaps.
  3. Completely agree. I feel very strongly that Ohio State wins that game.
  4. Low of 49 with .05" of additional rainfall. Three-day total was a bit underwhelming at .71" but still solid. I'm at almost exactly 40" for the year, which is just a couple under my yearly average.
  5. Don’t think I’ll have time to do a full calculation but just glancing at things, yes we should end with a BN month, probably by a full degree or so.
  6. Morning everybody, I see things are feisty in here today. There’s room for everyone, from the debbie-downers to the sunshine-pumpers and all in between. Just as Blizz’s constant long-range map posting can annoy some, other’s have been a bit too jilted by our recent years and seem to forget just what our climo can produce. If nothing else, things look to turn sharply colder after the New Year and likely stay that way for quite some time. That doesn’t necessarily mean snow, but it’s a regime we want to see. This after a mild period with some beneficial rains to end the year. A little something for everyone. Let’s let the pattern change do it’s thing and the chips fall where they may. Low of 37 here with .38” of rain.
  7. Currently 25, which is the low. Quite the rainy weekend on tap.

  9. You’re the hero we don’t deserve haha. Honestly it really was colder today than I thought it would be. Have heard a lot of people say that. Sun never even came close to appearing.
  10. The bell only rings for those who believe #PolarExpress
  11. It’s official, Santa visited KMJS last night and the kids couldn’t be happier. Man, few things in this world more magical than the excitement of a child on Xmas morning. Low of 32 and half the backyard still has a smattering of snow. It doesn’t get any better than this. Now let’s find some storms to track. Merry Christmas to all you crazy weather cats!
  12. All gifts wrapped. Santa is on his way. Sippin whiskey over here till I cant. Everyone get to bed. Nothing more sure in this world than the GFS throwing out a bomb at +300 hours. Ho ho ho!!!
  13. Low of 20 and currently sitting at 25/23 with the finest of pixie dust falling, if that. Looks mostly dried up here after .1” of snow. Busy day of hosting family. Time to start making breakfast casseroles and squeezing oranges.
  14. I’m already down to 16 here. Last night’s low was 12. Friday’s snowfall totaled 1.1” off of .17” liquid. Penn State women’s volleyball national champs!
  15. Quite drunk, yes quite. Of course the kids are already up this morning waking up everyone in the house (we stayed the night at my aunt and uncles place). Now have a one year old birthday party to attend this afternoon. No rest for the weary!
  16. I’m somehow still awake at a family holiday gathering in Northumberland. Let’s just say it’s been a long day ha. Big bounce back by the B10 today. Also solid snowpack up here. They’ll have a white Xmas for sure. I love everything, mainly penn state and snowpacks, but also everything. My uncle keeps feeding me Labatts, so there’s that.
  17. Aaaahhhhh lets goooo!!! Hey, sometimes you win games in different ways. SMU wasnt built for those conditions. Few of us are. Let me tell you fellas, it was brutal out there. Brutal. This morning the winds started ripping right away, along with a couple periods of light snow. It was awesome tailgating on the hard snowpack. So proud of the fan base. Stadium wasnt empty at all and that was one of the loudest and most committed crowds Ive been a part of from start to finish. Crowd was jacked and really threw SMU off their game from the jump. Awesome showing by the fans in harsh conditions. Man this is fun. Lets do it again in Arizona.
  18. Rise and shine boys. We’ve got a game to win! 24 degrees here in Park Forest Village just outside of state college. Temp is expected to remain fairly steady through the day. I’ve got my layers on. It’s go time.
  19. Safely in Happy Valley. Once I got to Juniata/Mifflin counties things were bone dry. About an inch on the ground here in state college with a good bit more on top of Seven Mountains. Roads were totally fine the whole way, even up over the high points. Tailgating begins in T minus 12 hours. Glad to hear it’s still snowing at home!
