I hit 47 for a low last night. That Tennessee game was a trip. I was up late watching it with a manhattan in hand trying not to dose off. I should have just gone to bed since the baby had me up at 5:30. No rest for the weary.

Oh yes I am keenly aware of the midnight cutoffs and the confusion they can create. In this instance I was just rushing and didn't think it through haha but you are spot on. We are likely to get screwed by both the saturday afternoon frontal passage and the temps in the 50s tomorrow morning. So, even though there will be a solid 24 hour period where the temp doesn't drop below 64ish, it will be split up in a way that won't allow for any records, as we've all seen countless times before, but that's how the cookie crumbles sometimes. In short, I take back everything I said and there will be no records being breached. I will now crawl back into my cave.

You're not imagining things. It absolutely is the warmer nights that contribute more to the positive monthly departures. The monthly weather summaries for MDT almost always confirm that.

According to my buddy's WU station, he got .1" between roughly 11:30-11:50pm and then another .06" between roughly 1:30-2:30am.

.13" for me last night, .05" on Sunday. September total was 8.88" but exactly half of that came on September 1st. Peter Sinks, UT hit 8 degrees last night. Carry on friends.....

Bottomed out at a brisk 43 here last night, can almost smell the snow.

I checked quite a few stations around MDT on WU and they were mostly right around or just under 2" so it seems to check out. Keep in mind that I am closer to you than say, Etown is to MDT, and yet you got 1.11" more than I did. These things happen. I think the tropical downpours were a bit more sporadic than people realize yesterday.

Looks like model wars, with the NAM/Euro keeping the highest totals just to the west and the GFS/CMC bringing the goods more out this way. Either way looks like a cool little event, with the slow propagation of the cold front and the placement of the inverted trough. Bring it on.

It is true that the Orioles are a special kind of bad haha but hey they are still battling it out with the D-backs for worst record, both tied at 48-102! Yeah looking more and more like a potent little event. You will crush me this month. I shouldn't end up anywhere near a foot.
