    Here near Herndon we have gotten 2.5 inches of snow and pixie dust still falling if we have any hope here of reaching 4'' we got to get some bigger flakes and better rates. With the dry slot I don't know if that is remotely possible, oh well I got to go sledding for the first time in 2 years so I guess it's fine. Though a good shift with the costal low for the Euro would be great otherwise at least for me this might be a pretty big bust.

    Here from western Fairfax county we just got around 2" of snow and we need at least 1" more to just cover the grass. My lowest bar for this whole storm was 4'' which I thought was pretty good but with the dry slot I wonder if the grass could not get covered. All I really need to enjoy a snow is the grass being covered. I think I am just underestimating the snow bands today and the dry slot will probably fill in but makes me nervous none the less. Sorry for being a downer.

    Should we be concerned about this slot of dry air approaching from the west and moving into our area, or will it fill in before it gets closer to us. Also I think Richmond might have more snow than us. Either way in Western Fairfax all roads are snowy and around 1.5-2 inches of snow has fallen.

    In western Fairfax I just checked and we have just reached an inch of snow with moderate to heavy snow and temps in the upper 20s small flakes though. Any snow that is on the ground is a powder nothing sticks to it. Also it was so nice to wake up and not have to worry about mixing (for now at least) or the ground being warm.

    Light snow to moderate snow in western Fairfax and snow covering everything with a coating including all untreated roads. Treated road are just wet.

    Just send that band up north and the waa thump should carry this system even if there is a Monday component. Not to mention it will all stick.

    4 tornado warnings up don't really know what this means for us. Maybe more spin in the atmosphere also Chicago is getting a nice snow band.
