A good coleslaw is money.
Chic-Fil-A Coleslaw was the bomb before they stopped serving it.

Any idea what is causing the large spin up cell in the upper left quadrant of the storm which is currently over the Atlantic? I know that is is probably just a larger cell spinning up off the main circulation, but I don't recall ever seeing one which is so well organized and lasting this long.

i couldnt watch due to Baltimore playing on Fox at the same time, good game for me to miss. 9 sacks? Terrible.
Anyone know why Baltimore was on Fox. I know they have games on Fox if they are vs a NFC team at home, but this made no sense to me.

I had to relocate once more, but only about a mile. My second option fell though after the owner decided to shut down. It's cloudy and breezy with light rain from the front. I'll be using my Kestrel and basic barometer to document the pressure fall.
In a quick drive around we see a gas line at the local station and folks hunkering down by taking furniture inside and getting last minute supplies. Folks are taking this one seriously.
Now's the hard part. Waiting. Fiona looks good on satellite, but now we have to see what the final approach and track look like. I think I'm in a good spot still, as a slightly further east track would probably allow for a better wind vector here, and a center pass is obviously a center pass.
I am walking distance from the coast.

I think we have one sneaky October day with low freezing levels left in the bag.
I think we have had a few times on Halloween over the last 5 years with Severe threats, but could be wrong.

I had a 1.5 gallon bucket out from doing some yardwork over the weekend. It was overflowing this morning.

It's going to rain, but I'm having a hard time seeing us getting more than an inch.
So...you feel that I can tell my daughter no Hershey Park tomorrow?

As nice as it felt outside yesterday, 9/1 saw another 90° day in the books at least at BWI and DCA.
I was at PGCC yesterday watching my son play soccer and it was surprisingly 91 on the car thermometer.

time sensitive but nice roost rings on radar this morning
I see those often in the morning. Always curious as to what birds were causing them to occur. I'd love to takt the time some day to figure out the location and watch this occur.

Trying to land at BWI around 6:30… wish me luck.
I hope your flight isn't cancelled this morning....that seems to be the trend lately. Good Luck!

Having a violent coughing fit as soon as you take your first sip of coffee is a shit way to start the day. RIP curtains....
This morning I put the water and coffee the Keurig machine and pressed the button to brew. I walked back 5 minutes later and realized that I forgot to put the coffee cup under drip. Coffee was all over the counter. Luckily none was on the floor.

look at that line of rain just pop along 70 from Frederick to Mt Airy behind the outflow boundary.

Went to DC last night to watch Rage Against the Machine.
Great show with a ton of energy. They played from about 9:15 to almost 11:00. Zach hurt his ankle last month and does the show while sitting, but still brings it.
They have a show tonight with tickets available. If you can go, you really should.

I have an outside GFI which keeps popping every time it rains. Might be the lamp post, but this is going to be a pain to figure out.

About 2 years ago I realize that I get a small pension from a former employer I totally forgot about. I know people who still work there and that benefit is no longer offered, so for once I lucked out. :-)

They put the recipe online when it was removed from the menu. 1/4 cup of sugar. :-)
They key is shredding the slaw with a food processor so it is very fine.
