Just looked out the window and the fog rolled in. Was clear and starry 2 hours ago when I took the dog for a walk.

The Ravens OL is getting it together. Linderbaum was dominant. Lets hope Gus just has a hamstring tweak. He is the perfect type of back for this offense. Just gets yards and almost never tackled for a loss. They have plenty of down time the next few weeks with the bye coming up. They need a more formidable passing game, and imo that means making a move. Hell of a second half though with both Bateman and Andrews out. Lamar was very efficient.
I really was questioning why they didn't use him on the 1 and goal from the 6 in the first quarter. Give it to him on the first two doesn and see what he gets.
Is it me, or did Greg Roman look kind of like Al from Al's Toy Barn in Toy Story.....

If DeCosta wants Lamar, and the team, to succeed, pull the trigger on a deal for a number one WR before the deadline. They won't fire Roman, but his mickey mouse offense might function better with a legit threat at receiver. Bateman might be a number 2, if he could stay healthy. The rest of the bunch are third and fourth receivers on any team with a pro-level passing offense.
i bet they scoop up Anderson once he is cut from Carolina.

the surgery isn't bad. mr map had to have both eyes done almost a decade ago now, his mom had them done early too, genetics thing. either way, recovery was quick!
Thanks! That's what I hear. Does the Mr. wear any glasses, or did the surgery help correct any vision issues?
I had a detached retina in the same eye and tears in the other one. The detached retina surgery is no joke.
Check out this really cool video of the surgery. This wasn't me, but the same exact procedure.
If any of you know of anyone who has to go through that and wants to talk, let me know. I'd love to talk with them to share hoe to get through that experience.

Went to the Ophthalmologist yesterday because the vision in my right eye was worsening. Looks like I am developing Cataracts.....
Silver lining is that if I have to get this fixed, I can get rid of contacts :-)

ANyone notice that some trees are turning, but only on the tips of some branches? I don't ever recall seeing trees with mostly green leaves and those with a few branches which have already turned red. Usually the whole tree turns at the same time. Am I just forgetting that this may have happened before?

I made a batch of sweet chili tonight. You still added the chili powder, but also cinnamon, cocoa powder and brown sugar. I thought it was great. SO did everyone but Mrs. Toolsheds.
Any try this before?

Perfectly said. Harbaugh is really bad it this, and it just isn't at all complicated. I dunno.
They don't seem to be capable of making the proper adjustments at halftime. Miami and Buffalo both did and both left with wins they probably shouldn't have.
ANyone see the Jets comeback against the Steelers? I'm not a Steelers fan, but Happy to see the Steelers switch up the QBs.

I use Merlin for sound ID. Really helpful .
It really is a great app. I love using it when I'm traveling so I can find birds which do not live in our area.

I told my mom early this week Ian wasn't going to be a big deal for the eastern shore. Now it will be to an extent. Winds and tides mostly. And western side of the bay will see some flooding now
Bethany had some erosion last week. I wonder how much more they will get from Ian?

If anyone has a link to Ian storm surge reports (of any spotter reports for that matter) please share. I see ABC news saying 18' but I am skeptical yet cannot find any. Thanks.
I think the highest projected range was from 12' - 18'. I bet they either misunderstood what that meant, or just ran with it.

I have no skin in this game (key lime pie is the best thing in the world but a good carrot cake is pretty good too…), but if you’re looking to vary the key lime pie game, might I suggest Bon Appetit’s cranberry-lime pie? I make it every year for Thanksgiving and to be honest it’s the best part of the meal:
Cranberry-Lime Pie http://www.bonappetit.com/recipe/cranberry-lime-pie
Ohhhhh...that sounds really fantastic!
Thanks for the idea and recipe.

No, I missed it. Sorry! I didn't even know Key Lime Pie sour ales were a thing, I need to figure out how to order some.
While on vacation I had a key lime martini, that was delicious too. Though not as sour as I would have hoped it would be.
It is very easy to make!
I found this ale in Naples in late May. The brewery (Blue Point) is from Long Island and doesn't distribute to MD, but they do to Delaware. I found some recently at Outlet Liquors in Rehoboth beach. And if you haven't been to Outlet Liquors, their selection is amazing.
One more thing...the ale is 9.6%....not bad at all.

I went to a wedding in VA Beach Labor Day weekend and the family had a welcome reception at a local brewery and they had Key Lime Pie sour ale. OMG it was so freaking good.
Did you see my post earlier? I have some in the fridge.
Also learned how to make Key lime pie recently. It is very easy. Was trying to see if I can make a Cherry Key Lime pie next.

Yes it does. It is a pleasure avalanche that cascades across your tastebuds giving you waves of joy with every bite and chew. Then you wash it down with a refreshing rum and coke. Or sour ale.
you should try one of these....

Don't think ever had it, but I could see them having a damn fine slaw.
I make my own, and I gotta say I think it's pretty f'ing good!
They put the recipe online when it was removed from the menu. 1/4 cup of sugar. :-)
They key is shredding the slaw with a food processor so it is very fine.

Any idea what is causing the large spin up cell in the upper left quadrant of the storm which is currently over the Atlantic? I know that is is probably just a larger cell spinning up off the main circulation, but I don't recall ever seeing one which is so well organized and lasting this long.
