  1. WOW!! That's top end sauna heat that one could barely stand.
  2. Sirens going nuts the last 15 min. Must be a bad accident on the Hwy 61. Every summer, someone has a really, really bad day.
  3. Not as hot here (83/72/87), and stms have popped, and heading in my direction. Come on downpours
  4. Pleasant day here. Warm n humid 80/70. One of the more humid days we've seen here on the shore, but not overwhelming with the lower temp. AND NO SMOKE!! Clear, blue skies Edit: Lake breeze kicked in good now. Temps down a little into the upper 70's with dews in the upper 60's. Pretty nice natural A/C system Probably 70 on the shoreline.
  5. Shifted southward towards the Cities. Missed me altogether. Darn, but they sure need it down there. Enjoy!
  6. Big complex of shwrs/stms moving through W MN right now, and it's all heading my way. BRING IT! Need a good overnight soak
  7. See you added a chilly reading. That's cold for July.
  8. Looks like a decent chc of stms later. Still have some smoke in the air, with high level clouds from the stm complex over NC MN. Temps subdued a bit from that. Point lowering my temps the next couple days. E winds will be more on tap, so upper 70's-low 80's at best during the brief heat wave this week. You boys from MSP (and the sub in general) sure are welcome to come on up, and enjoy the nicer wx up here this week.
  9. Yes it is. But the pattern, and possible tropical system I'm forecasting are being captured here. We'll see in a couple weeks what it actually ends up being like.
  10. 0.55" fell late last night with a small complex of shwrs/stms. It was a small one, so got lucky on the hit. Up to 1.95" for July. Coming round of heat will be soften by the lake. Winds will be S n E so mid 80's should be the worst I see. Natural A/C is helpful on the right wind. Unfortunately, more smoke the next couple days.
  11. Good call with this forecast.
  12. Where's Paul Bunyan when you need him. Break out the barrels of whiskey, and have him drunk, and pissing every 15 min on those damn fires.
  13. Skies thick with smoke today. Started smelling it last night.
  14. That's a very warm low. Hard to cool down with temps 68-75 by a.m. MSP will the same. Tough man. Ish. Current wx is pleasant.
  15. LOL -30 is nearly as tough on the flip from 100. Ish to that too. LOL In the end, both hurt.
  16. I'm at 1.4". Sad indeed. Since May 1st only 4.66". Most of that is between Jun 24 - Jul 20 with 4.19". With most of that between Jun 24 - Jul 5 at 3.25". Just enough to keep things green. Lawns were more golden colored prior to Jun 24. And, as mentioned before, the robust snowpack with very little frost in the ground, allowed large amounts of water to soak deep, so the trees are doing fine...so far. That 2 week stretch of heavier rains (3.25") really helped there. Come on Aug!
  17. More of that damn smoke coming in today. Much thicker in W & S MN tho. Other wise beautiful summer wx with scattered stms.
  18. Summer is back with upper 70's- low 80's on tap for the next few days with a decent chance of shwrs/stms Sat, and next Wed here in town.
  19. 0.55" of rain yesterday. Enough to give lawns n gardens a little drink. Overall dry conditions still prevailing, even if it's still green.
  20. Just thinking about it, I've never seen hail in town larger than peas. Back in the mid 90's we had a softball sized event on Hwy 61 between here, and Duluth. Damaged a few cars, and some underwear, too, I'd imagine LOL
  21. That cell scooted offshore just as it made it this way. Oh well. Needed the rain. Maybe another cell will make it's way through.
  22. With that funnel was tennis ball hail. Lots of damage in the area. Retail store roof was broken through. OUCH!
