We’ve seen it here too. Toronto got blitzed yesterday by a big one that caused some flash flooding.
Nothing here in the last 2 weeks. The sound of crunch is getting old when walking on (what used to be) grass.
The 5-10 day forecast was pure awesome. Very humid. Light winds from the SW. moderate risks for good afternoon t-storms almost daily.
Wiped away. Mundane. Rock ya asleep.
I enjoy the light angles this time of year. From about May 7 to about August 1 my yard gets enough sun to form a dense canopy.
I live in suburbville where most of the shade comes from houses.
78 degrees in Timmins Ontario. 75 in Ottawa. 73 in Montreal. 75 in Quebec City.
Meanwhile - Kitchener, Guelph, and Toronto haven’t hit 70 yet this year.
Edit: Sault Ste Marie and Owen Sound also hit 70+ today. This has to be a first.
Today briefly hit 63-64. Nice pleasant surprise. Looks like 72 hours of mostly clear skies.
Im calling Thursday as our first 70 degree day. Going to get the fireball on ice.
I’m going to switch my vacation days. Tuesday was supposed to be great. No way in heck I’m going to take Tuesday off from work now. Went from 71 degrees to 51 degrees. I’ll take off that following Monday instead.
I’ll take it another step. This is complete BS how long I’ve waited for a 70 degree day. I think it will end up being around 220 straight days below 70.
Monday and Tuesday next week were supposed to be 71 degrees. Now it’s dropped to highs of 59 and 60. WTF.
Weather models never waiver when it sees record cold a month from now. But an actual above average day a week in advance.......nope.
Parts of North Central PA and upstate NY are so crazy cheap. Sometimes you can get a nice little plot of land too.
I’m hoping to move to that area and keep my regional job.
Prices on the other side of border are just stupid. 500K is the cheapest house here.
Piss poor winter. Heaviest single snow storm total was 15cm. So about 6 inches.
Have not hit 70F since Oct 7. I see areas with higher latitudes in the NE get 70s. I see Calgary get their damn chinook 70s.
Nothing. Now I see another couple of snow systems pass me well to the south. Leaving me with cold windy air with near record wind chills.
I checked the temp anomalies on the GFS for the May 14-15 time period. My heart sank.
This relative cold air beginning tomorrow is expected to linger until its finally pushed out by (you guessed it) another North Pole shot.
I used to live in Tennessee where March was a genuine Spring month. Now I have to wait until Memorial Day.
